Several very strong showings undone by disastrous Raw Values. I think maybe we should put together a group of keeners/really cool people to brainstorm scoring improvements for next season, starting with capping raw value losses. I hate seeing a good draft undone by one prospect dropping out due to something we couldn't possibly have known about (Justyn Ross's busted spine? Lael Collins' bogus murder accusations?).

I'm trying to figure out how to share the spreadsheet without you guys being able to see my info and doxx me. In the meantime, any questions about the method to MUG's madness, ask away! I will answer as best I can.

Excellent showing for what Les Snead gave you to work with!

        amazing! Thanks PR!

Top ten is a solid finish for me and not knowing this draft much at all.

        Go Cardinals picks!

Positive points across the board for you, and almost the highest accuracy score!

Ugh. Sorry BroncoBuff, but as I said on the other thread, when I made the picks based on D. Jeremiah's list he had Faalele at Foneco overall and I. Spiller at #36 just one spot below Breece Hall so I thought I was making decent choices.

To make things worse, Paton did not pick either a T or RB and the list I sent for the pick had 1) Isaiah Spiller, 2) Drake Jackson and 3) Greg Dulcich.

On the other hand, the UDFA bids for the Texans had one of the highest scores with 375 so at least I helped someone. Since it was tough to find 32 participants and I ended up being involved in the game, I will probably join next year if there's a spot.

Awesome! What do I win? Pretty much the entire draft ruined with 1 bad pick... I did get the position right in that spot though, did I get bonus points for that?

Okay, I feel encouraged. Definitely something to build on. By almost any definition, I believe I really nailed it. I think I maybe have a natural knack for this. In the two hours since PRB put this up, every time my phone rings, I halfway expect to look down and see "Dove Valley" on the caller ID. I don't think I'd be likely to consider an offer to switch careers, at this point in my life. But you never know.

Carmelo15 is replacing you next year, Dom. You are fired. Too busy eating buffalo wings instead of making good picks for the Bills. Adios!

It would be pretty scummy to dox you. I mean, with a little research, I believe I could dox just about anyone here. But I'd never do that.

On a side note, I guess I always figured the PR in your moniker had something to do with where you lived. Imagine my surprise when I realized the PR actually stands for your name, Paul Richardson. And Fruita is such a small town. I drive through there at least 3 or 4 times a year, as we commute between SLC and Denver. I wonder if I've ever seen you at the McDonalds there., Paul Richardson from Fruita, Colorado.

Haha I get that a lot, also a few people thinking I'm from Puerto Rico. It's actually my hometown: https://sunshinecoastcanada.com/expl.../powell-river/

Not my best draft, but I'll take top 3. My worst scoring in last 5 years lol. This was a tough draft this year. Lots of guys that were pretty close in value/skill with the extra COVID year players saturating the group. Some UDFAs this year would be probably be drafted in most years.

What’s the explanation on raw value etc? I notice my raw value is atrocious.

Or inherent value? I’m a quick study.

Raw value is the easy one, it's the difference between the draft slot you picked your guy at, versus where he went in real life. And undrafted guys get valued at 263 (the last pick in the draft +1), so you got hammered because so many of your guys fell, looks like your last 4 went undrafted.

Inherent value is confusing, the easiest way to explain is it's a way to reflect real life where having 2 first rounders is way better than having 7 seventh rounders, even though you might be tempted to stockpile late rounders in the game for the potential to score big on raw value if they go earlier. Inherent values are assigned to picks by round, ranging from 100 for top 10 picks, to 10 for 7th rounders and UDFAs. The formula is: Inh Value = (inherent value where player was really picked/inherent value where you picked him)*average of the 2 inherent values

While I'm at it! Accuracy points are based on a tricky formula that expresses how many of your picks are accurate versus innacurate, where an accurate pick is defined as being within a range of your pick. Ranging from +/- 10 for first rounders to +/- 30 for sixth rounders, and if a 7th rounder is drafted at all it's considered accurate.

You had a really strong showing last year as well IIRC, just undone by a couple horrific raw value falls. You'll probably benefit greatly from whatever our new scoring system ends up being
