  • SCOTUS now tainted

Thanks to the GOP putting partisanship front-and-center, SCOTUS has been tainted as yet another group of partisan hacks.

    **** the GOP. Even harder.

Roe vs. Wade was a 7-2 decision in 1973. The 7 was made up of 5 GOP appointees and 2 Dem appointees. What changed? Tell me more about how it’s the Dems moving left, not the GOP moving right.

Do some research. It's widely held that decision was out of bounds.

Nothing I post will satisfy you leftist activists. It's widely held the Row decision was a poor one. If you're not willing to do some research, nothing I post will help you.

Yeah, because any democrat appointment would be different.

                      Such a loser.

By the same people who want it overturned. Shocking.

No, by constitutional scholars, but you'd get bored after reading the first sentence because it'd be over your head.

Your GOP has evaporated a huge chunk of the SCOTUS’ credibility.

                                  LOL.

Did he really say something about "Constitutional scholars?"

We have just such a professional scholar taking his "argument" apart right here in this forum.

Plenty of people point out that Attorney General Merrick Garland's decision to deploy federal law enforcement against families protesting public school policies is an abuse of power that threatens civil liberties. Worth adding to the objections, though, is the important point that treating parents who object to school board decisions about masking and curricula as terrorists can only further turn them against the powers-that-be. Garland and other officials are setting up a cycle of reaction and repression that can only destroy the institutions they claim to protect.

Deploying federal law enforcement and mercenary thugs against protestors is your party’s wheelhouse.

Eh, you could probably find a case or issue like that for every judge. Look at all the stuff Scalia did. Fact is that Garland hasn’t been running DOJ as an authoritarian like Bill Barr did, so it doesn’t seem like that’s a core value of his or anything. I’d argue he’s pretty middle of the road compared to other candidates the far-left would’ve preferred to see nominated. Obama purposefully nominated someone who was older and more mainstream that Republicans wouldn’t have had a problem voting for under normal circumstances.

Leave it to the “legitimate political discourse” people to have a problem with Garland sending law enforcement to police right-wing domestic terrorists at the behest of school officials who were being threatened with violence.
