2021 draft annoyed me. I wanted Micah Parsons at the 9th but he went with Surtain, who was still one of the guys that I thought was worth the pick, but not who I wanted. Then we moved up to grab Javonte Williams, which I disagreed with because there were a chunk of OT's that could have started for us immediately at RT available at our original pick. I loved the Meinerz pick, the rest of the draft was solid enough.
2023: I wanted an impact edge rusher, a real prospect at RT/Swing, a TE that could block, an off-ball LB, Zyon McCollum, and a RB. The rest would be Special Teams prospects. So you tell me how happy I am with the 2023 draft.

Another season of watching the Broncos get gashed up the middle for 20 or 30 yards multiple times per game, over and over and over. Oh well. Maybe I'll turn it into a drinking game? Gash up the middle (for more than ten yards) take a drink.

This is the 1st time Hackett has had a lot of influence on a draft I suspect, recommending players to Paton. It is clearly not a good draft whereas last year was pretty good in comparison when you look at rounds 3-7 (since no 1st rounder this year and only a late 2nd). Could be Hackett has the same problem with drafting that another offensive guru had, Shanny Sr. Many head scratcher picks this year.

Bonitto will be crucial this year in the rotation, and with Gregory & Chubb being injury liabilities, he’ll be needed big time. He was the best Edge available, and has top pass rush skills.
Dulcich will compete with AOK, and may be the starter by the end of the season; I read somewhere that a pro comparison is Greg Olson. Not a bad comparison.
Mathis will back up KWaun Williams, who is injured every year. Mathis reminds me of a young CHJ. Tough & smart.
EU is depth at a thin position group. We needed a replacement for Shelby and possibly Purcell, and this guy has a chance. I wanted 2 DT/DE’s, and he & Henningsen fit the bill. Love Henningsen’s motor and love of the game.
Montreal Washington WR, was an initially a head scratcher until you realize he’s a PR/KR WR playmaker, and will make ST’s better. Could help on 3rd downs too.
Everyone else is depth ST’s guys, some might develop, who knows? What do you want from 5th-7th rounders? I thought this was solid on paper, but the proof is during the season. We’ll see.
