Great pick! Didn't have to trade up to get him. Go George!

Really nice measurables. Decent speed at the combine a 4.54. Outside of QB, the second most important position is effective edge rusher. As far as value. Really important.

I feel good about this one. I had my hearts set on other players but it's hard to be upset on this one.

I like Bonnito...but I see him as a Dee Ford type one trick pony.....which is fine...as long as your expectation is that is all you ask of him. He'll be a liability in the run game. It's a passing leauge...and he's a third round pick. It's not like you were looking for the perfect DE here.

I have zero problems with the pick. Seems like a guy who is clearly very good at rushing the passer and has the physical abilities to grow into the rest. Feels like he has been somewhat slept on this entire draft process for whatever reason... a few pounds too light, a few inches too short, whatever the reasons.

His play style is similar. Not that he's the next Von Miller, but he tries to do the same kind of things in the same kind of way. Sometimes he pulls it off. Should be an interesting addition as a pass rush specialist. They'll probably play him in the preseason and he'll look like a god against backups and scrubs so be ready for that. Hopefully he can make an impact in games that matter.

I saw where Bonitto's actually got a faster 10-yard split than Von.

                                            They are, physically, very similar.

Yeah it's weird, right? Those statements weren't my opinion or criteria whatsoever, but it clearly seems like he was overlooked.

Whatever narrative or big-game moment he needed never materialized, or they need to make a more clearly understood and agreed-upon statistic for pressure.

Sure. We got him with the very last pick of the 2nd round. Von Miller went 2nd overall behind a QB. So the difference in perceived value is staggering. Not even anywhere near close at all.

I like it. If I had told you 2 months ago we'd have this guy & Russell Wilson, would you have taken it?
