Raiders week, game preview

Both teams have come crashing back down to earth the past two weeks, as they’ve both lost back-to-back games to fall to 3-2.
Denver struggled mightily on offense against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5 and the Raiders had an ugly loss to the Chicago Bears where their offense struggled to get anything going.
The Broncos have a chance to pick up a home win where they are 1-1 this season, but this one is expected to be close.

This racist email stuff from 2011 with Gruden is coming back on him hard. The Monday night crew with Booger and Randy Moss just went straight the F off on that organization.

Raiders and Jon Gruden are parting ways, @TomPelissero reported. “It’s over,” said source.

If I was Vic I’d have plenty of urgency. If you can’t win at home against a team dealing from 2 losses themselves and without a head coach, then I’d say you deserve what comes from that.

But I’d agree, it’s pretty much a must win in the context of winnable games the rest of the season…

maybe we find a way to beat WFT, Eagles, Lions and one Raiders game… Bengals Browns Cowboys all look like losses.
frankly, starting over with a fresh, and legitimate GM might not be the worst thing ever. Nothing against Fangio honestly, but this team really isn’t getting better and seems to lack “urgency” which is a complete mystery to me how that’s possible.

There is hope. We have talent. I think coaching is not likely to change much from what we have seen.

We can win both Vegas games but likely drop one, win one charger game ( because they always drop one to Denver and likely will have division sewed by week 17) Detroit, Philly, and maybe WFT. Throw in one more fluke win (KC) to get to 9 wins.....no playoffs . 9-8 will likely tie the Chiefs who suck at Defense and they miss the playoffs too.
TBW will not finish the season healthy. Lock starts 3-4 games and maybe Rypien one.
Basically a wasted year. Teddy won't get paid by the new coaching staff as a starter, but a backup IF he stays. Lock may play out his contract here and then leave unless Denver trades him for cheap.
We will be drafting a QB high, but we aren't trading for Rodgers or Wilson, and Watson aint playing anywhere now or likely next year.
New staff won't want to pay the whole draft to get any of them. Yes after year 1 , not in year one.
Drafting Rattler would be a mistake, he has shown his colors. Someone else ..MAYBE.

Ryan Edwards
@redwardsradio
The #Raiders defense allows a 90.9% Red Zone conversion rate. There shouldn't be many excuses this week when it comes to the #Broncos offense closing out drives with touchdowns

Raider week is also Alumni week, as Atwater is presented with his HOF ring, and Shanahan is inducted into the ROF.
Don’t know how to embed these Denverbroncos.com vids, but this great tribute to Shanahan is worth your time. Many cameos giving tribute to Shanny for his influence including the usual suspects, but also Kyle, McVay, LaFluer, etc.
