Anyone concerned about that trash of a field? SF visited that stadium early in September last year and their season was done by the massive leg injuries that game.

the damage it can cause :

some key guys playing a first full game coming off leg injuries. Pretty stupid their first one has to be on a field that does damage.

Giants already have injury bug. NFL stresses safety yet allows dangerous turf.

I'm more concerned with West to East travel. But yes, the field conditions seem to possibly be a factor.

One would think the NFL would require a certain minimum quality for playing fields -- or that teams would.

They actually do, but the bar isn't very high and a lot of the standards are about the field needs to be created and maintained, but there's quite a bit of leeway concerning gameday readiness. Basically unless there's like a crater or a pool of water on the playing field, they play.

I thought there was ? Seems like a few years back some east coast team had to play somewhere else because of the field quality. I thought is was all set into place after the Steelers game in the 5" of mud. That game rocked BTW.

It would seem that there would be some accountability somewhere if the field were in bad enough shape to result in injuries to players.

We racked up plenty of injuries on very nice fields last year.

It's 1630 EST game (1430 MST ) So they should be good.

Maybe it's better to get the first game than later in the season after its been worked over?

I don’t know Jets/Giants do it. Across the league players have said they don’t like it.

just hope it isn’t like SF time. My best day would be blow out by halftime and pull the starters. Worst day getting destroyed while losing players to injury! Lol the latter is a scary road with a clown at the end of it looking back at us.

MetLife Field - uneven with hazardous spots? I knew there was something fishy about how we lost that Super Bowl.
