  • AMA: One-third of U.S. adult patients have prediabetes.

You've almost certainly seen these numbers, but they're worth looking at again … because they're shocking: Fully 34 million adults in the U.S. have diabetes—with type 2 making up over 90% of cases—and as many as 88 million more have prediabetes, where blood glucose levels are elevated but not high enough to be diagnosed as type 2.
Diabetes One-third of U.S. adult patients have prediabetes. Know what to do.

        Functional medicine….food is medicine!

It’s all what you put into your bodies. It all can handled through diet and supplements, no pharmaceuticals.

God made our bodies. Even in a fallen state they will maintain heal and repair if we put the right things in.

Glad we can agree on functional medicine. Being on a farm is a huge benefit. Clean eating. Clean water.

My mother grew up on a farm in Kansas in the 1930s and 40s before moving to Colorado. This is exactly what she taught us. If we didn't feel good, she told us our bodies knew how to heal themselves. Don't go get the bottle of medicine, just lay down and rest. Eat well. (You'll like this part: She taught us 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?" which was why we were to take care of ourselves.)

It’s what our family does and businesses promote. The truth is in the blood. Our functional med Doc draws blood, you get a detailed report and make adjustments accordingly. Huge holistic health benefits. Happy to compare notes.

                BTW, great scripture.

Amen to that. I am actually not a ‘healthcare’ kind of guy. I’m the one my wife has to drag to get in. But, seeing my father grow old with health concerns I knew it’s best to be proactive. My wife has a medical background, Our daughter is an RN, my sister is as well….I’m surrounded by health professionals. Anyway, my wife a few years back began seeing a functional health Doctor. I started going and both of us have had great breakthroughs. We spend a good amount of our time helping educate & equip others.

Looks like covid might be responsible for turning pre-diabetics into full blown diabetes. Get your labs done now if you never had problems before but now are losing weight without trying.

Recent changes in technology has made managing diabetes easier... it is only covered if you need to shoot insulin multiple times per day though. We all should be wearing monitors. Helps you understand how you body processes sugar.

When you can’t figure out what all the things are on a label, that’s not good!

All of the grocery store meat for the most part is feedlot and full of hormones. Lots of nitrates in foods. Very bad for people.

Faster to market & heavier weights on very large quantities makes them millions.

Between their anti-vax propaganda and their refusal to do anything about insulin price gouging, the Republicans are going to kill off the lion’s share of their support base.

If gas prices drop, the GOP will cry.

You've got a whole inflation front to contain, Wagsy. And since the Party's only answer to anything is 'distribute more money' it's unlikely you're going to have any success in dealing with it.

Where was Bronco Transphobe when tRump was adding trillions to the deficit and golfing his way through the pandemic?

                                          MIA, of course.

Ironically in the very thread where you're blaming Republicans for inflation on other items.

So you’re trying to argue that tRump’s ballooning of the deficit and mismanagement of the pandemic didn’t contribute to inflation?

Acknowledging such things wouldn’t fit your “both sides are the same” narrative, would it?

You're lucky. I'm lucky in that I don't eat much meat anymore. My solution is lots of nuts. Fruits for my sugar. Cheese, milk and fish. I try to get farm to plate as close as possible.

                                                Avoid anything processed.

They put lots of sugar in everything!

                                                  Hah.

The pandemic was the pandemic, Lxabron. It was a bad deal for us all. But it wasn't going to be significantly moved by magical federal action in any case.

Biden's promise to "shut down the virus" only to have 2021 be deadlier than 2020 should've established that beyond doubt. At least your doubt.

Not that I blame Biden for anything other than that ridiculous pie-in-the-sky promise (aka lie).

Anyone with a brain knew the pandemic was 90% circumstance and 10% response. The only consistency through it all was you guys pimping politics over reason.
