I am admittedly a homer. I just think we're too talented to not be able to overcome our QB woes. I say 10-7 (the 17-game thing takes some getting used to).

I think 10 games is a minimum of they stay healthy. I think any less then move on from Fangio. I honestly think they need to win 11-12 for him to show he is worth keeping around. He's only going to lose talent and experience from the D, and he has his veteran QB with all the weapons he could need. If he can't prove he's a HC that can contend this year, then move on.

If he wins 10 games, that's a 22-27 record. Not good enough. If he can't forget about 2020 Lock when Lock comes and and shows improvement in 2021, then why should we forget about 5-11 Vic Fangio if he comes out and shows improvement in 2021?

I "predicted" 9 wins. I don't have any faith in Fangio or the QBs. Sick of looking up at the Chiefs. We need to take back our crown.

I voted “10” with my heart and not my head. The current quarterback situation has me worried.

This schedule looks ridiculously easy... Going game by game it's hard not to imagine 10-12 wins.

I'd say 11 wins, but there are caveats. Shurmur has to get better with play calling. Lock has to get about 35% of the plays. Fleming is NOT the rt. D has to get at least 15 turnovers. RBs have to get 2000 yards, minimum.

There are others, but they will remain hidden for a period of time.

I am going with a cautiously optimistic 9. If they can’t get that many, fire them all.

Or 8, bump that up to 10-11 with surprising QB play. Our division is going to suck for a while (as in being a part of it).

I’ll say we go 4-4 in the West- I think we find a way to win 5 more games during the season, so I think 9 wins is about right. Another year, yet another QB that isn’t the answer for any foreseeable future… teams with this problem tend to not win divisions nor hit 11+ wins.

Put me down for 10. I'm downright bullish on this season. WC spot or bust.

                        This.

Vic and Shurmur having to manage a game managing QB with the way Vic bungles situational football moves and time management is not a good complement. Plus didn't Teddy have only 1 less INT last year than Drew?

Plus Vic rely's on a bend but don't break D. He doesn't care about attacking or taking the game to the O, he wants his guys to read and react which is why he likes the 6 DB formations. If he does what he wants and his D tightens up inside the 30 and the other team is forced to kick FG's then our O has to score TD's in response. If they go 3 and out the D will wear down over the course of the game and we get what we have the last 5 years.

Should have let Drew start and lose his job in the RS then let Teddy come in and play it shorter. I just hope they all prove me wrong and go on to win 12 games.

BTW with the new 17 game season is 13 wins still a jinx or does it move to 14 wins? Guessing it stays at 13 but who knows, we have to win that many to find out. Probably not going to be this year.

10-7 is very doable with good health.

Easy schedule + a top-6 defense probably gets them a winning record if they can stay reasonably healthy, notwithstanding mediocrity in most other phases.

You are to hard on Vic's D. That's the one part of the team I am really happy with.

Hasn't every position other than Qb improved under these coaches? This team has completely rebuilt itself since 2017 and the players have all gotten better. Every position group seems to be developing. Somehow Fangio's job is on the line when these gms haven't gotten him a qb.

I would say there are better athletes than we had at 2017 but not that they have been coached up to be better outside of maybe the OL. The pass rush hasn't been great despite above average players. I think the focus on signing great DB's was to allow for more coverage sacks than a reliance on attacking the OL.

I agree I am hard on Vic, when he shows he can make better situational decisions, manages his time so that he doesn't give the other time extra timeouts to win the game, and when he has a winning record and makes the playoffs I will back off. Isn't he winless in September? The one time Denver is supposed to have an altitude advantage if you listen to chef fans.

Fair, gameday is a problem for Vic. But I think that's just bad qbs putting him in tough positions. Look at our coaches. They're as good as it gets. Staley just got the Chargers gig. Look at how Williams talks about Kollar. Look at the wr's coach, the oline coach, the db's coach, the d coor who Atwater says is his best coach of all time, they're teaching top level nfl football. I think we're just starting to see it. Watch these kids pass rush this year.

I also predicted 9. Not really feeling sure about that number, but my desire see them win wouldn't let me pick less than that.
