  • Deshaun Watson anyone?

Can he play? I don’t think the league has suspended him.

    What is the asking price?

Yes please. But, it’s not happening. At least, it’s not happening during the season.

I love Watson the quarterback. Watson the person, however, is a pervert.

The Houston Texans continue to receive calls regarding a trade for Deshaun Watson, and the quarterback could be moved before the Nov. 2 trade deadline, per Ian...

they probably should but they wont.

they should call and deal lock to them tho. he looks like he wants out. give that to him.

Sounds like Miami is poised to make the Watson deal at some point. It’s a punt year for Miami so not a problem if Watson couldn’t play this year:

It’s pretty obvious you can’t win without a franchise QB. Lock looks deflated and lost. If you want to prove yourself, you just lost a great opportunity. TBW is a gamer, but he wasn’t looking good before the injury. Steelers lost today. I’d say we really need to win next week or we could start to slide quickly. So many injuries. With a franchise QB like Watson our team would have a fighting chance.

NFL won’t allow him to play this year but they arent suspending him. This would be a trade for 2023 cause 2022 he will be suspended all year. Which is basically a 2 year suspension

Lock is a pile of shit. Rypien should be the back up. Teddy is just a game manager. Can’t win with Ortons.

I think that Paton should have had the leeway to fire Vic before the start of the year and then Paton and his new HC hire should have got the QB they wanted to fit the system that Paton and the new HC want to run with their new OC hire.

When you take a QB and then hire a HC, you run the risk of linking him to the HC/OC and they are forced to make him his system. This happened to Radio, not that he was ever going to be a legit HC, but he was forced to try to make Lynch work and then got stuck with Trevor after Dirty Sanchez didn't work out.

Vic needs to go after this season, Paton needs to hire a HC/OC and then decide what QB they are going to get. If that happens to be Watson or Rodgers then fine, if they decide to move up and take the best guy on their board then great but it shouldn't be a choice made by an HC who is a dead man walking.

yep, hiring a new coach every two seasons is always productive.

Informal suspension right now. Its an example of a player being suspended by a team not the NFL…which the nfl is pushing without saying anything to the team. If Houston came out and said Watson was going to play, NFL IMO would then make a suspension formal. Next year will be suspended the full year IMO(unless he wins the suits).

Until you get it right sure. Unless you think the Tomsoolas and VJs of the league deserve 4 years regardless of losing seasons stacking up.

Fangio got this year to show life. A losing record and he’s fired. Needed double digit win season IMO to keep his job. They put up 6-8 wins he’s gone. This team was(is) capable of 10 wins. Staff Being out coached won’t help.

McDaniels was 6-0. We should’ve given him 4 years.

LMAO. Sure, let's trade premium assets for a guy who is currently under multiple investigations for sexual assault and could very well wind up serving a lengthy suspension once the legal system plays its course. Nope.

Well this year he’s not playing and that’s one. He’s perfectly healthy on a team in massive need for a QB and isn’t playing.

Not sure how anyone thinks he won’t be suspended next year….there’s no way the NFL will allow it. Metoo would camp in front of Goodells home.

"Maller points out the NFL usually doesn’t go back and utilize “time served” when it comes to suspensions. So if Watson is found guilty next year after the start of camp, the league could suspend him into the 2023 season.

this has become the most likely scenario unless he’s found not guilty(who thinks that now?) a settlement will also trigger a suspension IMO. :

While the Texans quarterback navigates through his legal troubles, there's a chance that he won't be anywhere near a field this year or next

There is gonna be a bunch of crap available at the QB position next year. Maybe you make a run on an old man Aaron Rodgers and hope he can keep dealing at 40.

Hope they bring in Brian Kabul to coach the team as well.

That or hire another retread to right the ship. John Fox like.

Frustrating watching the Pats. They don’t have half the talent of the Broncos. Yet they have a more capable QB which leads to two things… more production and more importantly and more promising future.

From what I’ve seen it’s just an unknown. That’s not good either, but folks get paid big $ to figure it out.
