I've never liked DH. Seems like an unnecessary position. Just go with the 8 batters that play defense, or keep the pitcher in the lineup if the batting order has to be 9. Why does it have to be 9?

Same. Hate the DH. Been an NL stan since forever because no DH. Guess that's done now.

Upside: no tingling left arm every time deGrom bats now, so worried he'd get hurt.

Which kind of sucks because DeGrom is such a dang good hitter! But yeah, glad he won't hurt himself knocking in base runners any more.

Glad to know there's another Mets fan on the board. LFGM.

Man, I wish I could be at Citi for a Degrom or Scherzer start this season. I can only imagine how hyped that place will be when one of those guys ends an inning with a strikeout!

Maybe the Seattle Mariners make the playoffs this year. 😎

They came close last year. I wonder if Kelenic will have a rebound year.

Man, this will be amazing. You can have Red Sox-Yankees play a 3-4 game series in Paris and then another in London. Dodger and Giants in Mexico City. This should be cool and good for the game.

THANK GOD FOR THE UNIVERSAL DH!!!!! Pitchers are too easy an out during games.
Don't like the Freeman thing. Makes no sense, we need Correa.

Even with the 2 budding shortstops in the minors, you can also move someone over versus Freeman and you still need to sign a SS.

Are you kidding? It removes an entire layer of strategy from the game. Finley was an ass!

I also tune into the game to watch pitchers flail at pitches/ bunt and watch managers do double switches. That's what baseball was made for.

I hope so. I worry the Mariners record last year was inflated with an awesome bullpen that will regress to the mean. They need a few of their prospects to step up, there are a few that could.

I do hope they get Kris Bryant. That would help a lot. Maybe even Seiya Suzuki as well

I'm excited they got it fixed....looking forward to seeing Bobby Whitt Jr.

Do not like the 12 team playoff format...but I do understand why they did it....Baseball, with it's 162 game regular season....doesn't need expanded playoffs...you ought to know who the top 6-8 teams are after that...letting in 12 just means some .500 club is going to get hot late and win a title that shouldn't really be there. Whatever.

did they ban the shift? I hope not....if you don't like everyone sitting on the right side of the field because you are prone to hit it that way, and they give you the other side...freaking bunt over there and keep doing it until they get tired of giving you a free pass.

It’s horrific to watch and kills strategy. It’s nearly always an automatic out.
