Rumors are now circulating that the Bears are concerned with Fields "elongated" throwing motion and may try to tinker with it.
So, the two most surefire ways to completely torpedo the development of a Young QB are:
1. Change his offense so he has to completely relearn everything each year and has absolutely no continuity in the system.
2. Start messing with his upper body mechanics (You can tinker with lower body mechanics but by the time they reach the NFL changing the upper body mechanics is akin to asking a lefty to start throwing right handed.)
The Bears have already checked off item number 1 and appear to be looking very closely at item number 2. I kind of feel bad for Fields. I wasn't as high on him as some on this board, but I acknowledge he had a ton of talent and potential. He just had the misfortune of landing in one of the worse spots possible for a young QB.
