  • Who are your top Free Agent targets right now outside of the players on our roster?

Right now I'm looking at Haason Reddick to play opposite Chubb and James Daniels to upgrade the interior o line. I'm thinking slide Daniels at C to upgrade Cush.

Both guys are young, Reddick will be 28 when the season starts and Daniels 25 so both could be long term options.

Reddick would more than fill a need at OLB and is probably better than Chubb at the position. Even if we sign Reddick though I'd still draft a pass rusher in this Draft. Boye Mafe or Sam Williams at the bottom of the 2nd or top of the 3rd.

Daniels would be a huge upgrade at Center and can also play guard. But I would sign him to play center and draft a RT in the 1st or 2nd.

Harold Landry III would be a nice addition in free agency.

Team is in full rebuild mode. Overpaying for FAs isn’t a good idea when 2022 won’t be a competitive year. Patons FAs in 2021 were bad sans the Simmons signing…im hoping he doesn’t bring anyone in on a high contract.

In FA? Reddick or Jones. Gotta land a DT as well.

Every single DT going into FA should be looked at... hell even our old friend Malik Jackson is probably an upgrade at his age.
But this draft is also a place we should look.

OLB we should look at Jones and Von and Reddick... I suppose we could even steal Ingram from KC. Might hurt them more than help us though...

ILB? Hightower and Hitchens seem to be the better ones coming off contract.
but this draft is good for this position too.

I'm hoping Eddie Goldman gets cut by Chicago or we offer a 4th round pick if he's dangled out for trade. DT is a strong spot in this draft class though as well.

Is it just me or is this whole fa class booty? Hopefully Paton nibble’s around the edges.

This FA class looks more like obese girl booty though.

But the party is over and there ain't nothing else around...

Add Chucks Okorafor to my list too. He's only 25 with starting experience at LT and RT plus shouldn't break the Bank.

                We need to
load up on DL as a whole in the draft but for 2022 we need an experienced guy to help bolster the line.

That's why I like Eddie Goldman. He's only 28 and has 4 years experience plus would be a huge upgrade over Purcell.

Also like Phidarian Mathis and Neil Farrell Jr through the draft.

Travis Jones from UCONN would be awesome as a draft pick if Denver doesn't bring in someone on the IDL in FA.

IDL needs to be taken even with a FA signing. We are too thin on talent overall but also in game impacting talent on the DL.
For the DC to replicate any of the Rams success, you need talent in the trenches.

True, but we have to stop bargain basement shopping for DL and edge. Draft it, develop it, maintain it, retain it.

I meant relying on finding guys like Purcell, Harris, etc and not actually spending higher picks on the position.

We didn't get a lot of impact from our FA, but I do like that Paton did not dump mountains of cash on those he did sign. It seemed like a lot of those signings were Fangio picks. Paton gave Vic the players he wanted to run his scheme how he wanted. However, he did not give contracts that were long term or expensive that made it that his next coach was stuck with expensive players he didn't request.

Paton nailed the draft and I feel like he'll be good with FA, so long as his coaching hires aren't inept.

I’m hoping maybe one name off this list is brought back. AJ. Jewell is a consideration….

but I’d like all these dudes walk. I know Gordon is productive but giving millions to an aging back isn’t good idea when rookies/younger can play for cheap.

I'd say bring back Massie, Young and one of AJ or Jewell. Michael Ford might be a consideration for STs as well

Sounds like the priority will be Josey. Everyone else will have a chance to go to the market.

                                      We need Tackles.
we shouldn't let Massie walk if we can get him back cheap unless we are upgrading his spot plus getting another tackle. He's a great back up that stepped up. But if we retain him it has to be at back up or bridge. And that leaves us still trying to find a starter at RT or a RT in the draft that Massie can bridge towards.

                                      Jewell is good to keep.
                                      Can't leave ILB baren.
I would be cool with keeping Dinosaur if he comes cheap.
We should draft a guy way up in the upper rounds here though if there is a blue chip sitting there.

We need a DT that can bring it.
Should be a draft and FA issue.

Those three spots plus QB are my hopes for our first four picks but I'll also be happy with an edge rusher up there.

I would like to see Callahan come back. If he doesn't command a kings ransom.
Surtain and Darby need a slot and sometimes a breather. But there are a few CBs that we could nab later that I like in the draft too. Just can they start now? IDK.
So if he walks we need a CB in FA mi thinks...

Reddick would be awesome. Him and a healthy motivated Chubb would be a good duo

we better not have Malik reed start ever again

I don’t understand the Purcell hate. For an elite D you need elite players, and cogs. Zero liabilities. Purcell is a cheap, professional, team player, cog and very far from a liability.

It’s not hate. Just truth. The DL needs to be upgraded and we need difference makers in there to impact the game.

Cheap? 4M for production that alot of 3rd string players at his position could produce….often injured…..a mid round rookie could put up the same impact at a far lower rate. But you don’t want to go that route either.

every year this team puts JAGs on both OL DL ….and every year they get punched in the mouth there, wondering why they get outplayed in the trenches.
