  • Record Gas Prices under Biden

    https://www.ksbw.com/article/califor...-high/39123023

good thing he stripped away all those policies that had us at energy independence. Great job having to rely on foreign oil/OPEC instead of using American made. Add in Californias liberal taxes fees and regulations/shutdowns of refineries and it’s going to be 6-7 dollars a gallon come summer.

Working class cannot afford electric cars. Far too expensive. Even if they did CA power grids can’t even handle one warm day let alone millions charging their cars between 3-9pm.

Biden turned the middle class into poor just one year in.

Note when oil and gasoline prices began to rise. That rise started in May 2020. Between the first week of May 2020 and the last week of December 2020, oil prices had tripled. Was President Trump to blame for this?

No, the reason oil and gasoline prices rose is that the economy started to open back up from the Covid-19 shutdowns. Those shutdowns had negatively impacted a couple of million barrels of U.S. oil supplies, and those supplies were slow to bounce back once the economy opened back up. That’s why we have soaring oil and gasoline prices.

Keep in mind that the entire world has experienced this. Do people honestly believe that cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline drove up gasoline prices in Tokyo? Further, this price rise has taken place across most commodities. We have seen soaring lumber prices, base metals prices, cotton, oats, sugar — all primarily associated with the Covid-19 impacts on the economy.

A barrel of oil was completely worthless at one point not more that a year and half ago…

we can’t get lipids for patients TPN right now, and 1k CC Saline syringes we’re out of stock…

      it’s kind of everywhere.

but this is a quintessential, hot in the ass GOP talking point… they love to whine about gas prices and make wild leaps as to the cause/ whom is responsible. Unfortunate!

I’m not saying a less friendly Democratic attitude towards fossil fuel enemy doesn’t play a part, but this has been a very volition period globally.

The right wing and their propaganda noise machines are constantly trying out new scapegoats to rile up the cult. When one drops off, they launch a new one. Every time they jerk the chain, the dogs bark.

Well if the gas prices keep rising at the current rate I will be surprised if any single Dem wins an election this Nov. Biden needs to lift all restrictions on drilling and pipelines now because if Russia invades Ukraine then gas prices will explode.

Can’t wait for them to rationalize and sugar coat 6 dollars a gallon to working class who commute 50+ miles every day. Millions upon millions of voters will vote solely on gas price issue.

I recall that Bill Clinton wanted to know the gas prices around the country every week (or even more frequently) when he was President because he knew the important connection between gas prices - the economy - and winning elections.

We haven't even felt the full effect from Covid-19 on our country. There is going to be a big old reset and a lot of the country is gonna feel the pinch. People expecting the world to just go back to the way it was in the snap of a finger are on some amazing drugs.

If the anger is directed at the President -- and not at greedy oil companies who are price-gouging and as a result, logging outrageous profits -- then their ire is sadly misplaced.

Service industry employees cannot afford this…..look around while in traffic. Most the people are commuting and living paycheck to paycheck. Clowns think they can afford electric.

The average transaction price for an electric vehicle (EV) is $56,437, according to Kelley Blue Book — roughly $10,000 higher than the overall industry average of $46,329 that includes gas and EVs. In terms of pricing, an EV is equivalent to an entry-level luxury car.Dec 29, 2021

it’s insane to cut off your own supply. Just a couple years ago this country was sitting on millions of barrels. Price of gas far below this shit…..Bidens exec orders in first quarter of 2021 killed off any energy Independence. Shut down refineries….Then he blamed OPEC.

Biden has destroyed this country(and multiple other countries going to war) in one damn year.

So if your theory were correct then we
must assume that for some reason all the greedy companies started to act out only when Biden took over?

just face it folks there is a clear correlation between having Biden in charge of something and that something becoming completely f- ed up. As Obama once said: ‘ Joe Fs up everything’

We must assume that the law of supply and demand shifted as people moved out of covid lockdowns and resumed driving and traveling. Suddenly there was no longer a surplus of supply; along with more demand. When that happens, greedy corporations hike prices because they can.
