  • Carson Strong?

    Looking good!

It's going to come down to medical for him. And if it checks out he's going to need a redshirt year because of rawness/level of comp.

      Lock + Strong possible

Many rookies redshirt. If we don’t get Rogers or Wilson, the poll I saw says Bronco fans want rookie over Wentz, Cousins or Jimmy.

That's actually my preference if the Rodgers/elite QB trade doesn't materialize. Draft QB at 9 and roll with Lock as a bridge.

Not someone I'd even consider at #9 for the Broncos.

He’s a guy to consider late 1st, early 2nd but not at #9.

Zero bet me $100 that Strong will be a top five pick. We will have to wait and see…

Easiest 100 you have ever made. Mine was KC will break Denver 2013 scoring record for the season. It was over 8 games in. I give him credit. He puts money with his mouth where a lot of people don't. He has integrity to pay too.

                  OP didn’t say anything about # 9.

                  Biggest concern is injury.

Didn’t say anything about #9 but the idea most have is to take the next QB early on. That rules out Strong for most.

There is a same difference for Jethros:

Spend it on sister/cousins and meth!

                          Bwahahaha...

The hype machine has started but it's for Malik Willis. Strong had a chance to improve his draft stock at the Senior Bowl, he didn't.

I'd be OK with Willis/Corral/Pickett at #9. Roll the dice.

At some point you have to have the guts to get your QB. Rams went and got Stafford. Bengals got Burrow.

                            Go for it!

What I would do is build the overall team up, roll with Lock and draft one of the many much more talented QB’s in ‘23

I think that's another option. If that's the direction, then trading back from 9 and getting more ammo is a must.

Would you trade down to accumulate picks for next year?

Lock is in the last year of his deal, would they rookie you draft next year start game 1?

I also think Lock should start this next year unless we get Rogers or Wilson.

RT at 9, then either trade back to first or use second on Strong is a possibility.

‘Won’t have the draft capital to do that without a massive trade down and mortgage of future picks. The time to get a QB in the draft in this year.

Burrow was the first pick in the 2020 draft, and the pick was a never-in-doubt no-brainer. There’s nothing remotely comparable in this year’s draft.

Nothing comparable in terms of a lock to be great like Burrow or Lawrence but there is plenty of talent to work with.

Right. Nobody would question a team taking Burrow or Lawrence at #1. This year, it’s extremely unlikely any QB goes #1. And for that matter, none of these guys are even consensus top 10 picks.
