  • The NFL is going to need to figure out something if they want Superbowls to stay competitive for the next decade.

Look at all the exciting young QBs. Mahommes, Allen, Burrow, Jackson, Herbert, Hell until he officially is traded I'll even throw Watson on this list. These are guys who will all be legit MVP candidates in the next ten years and they are all under 30. They are all also in the AFC.

You look at the NFC all their top quarterbacks are old. Rodgers, Brady, Wilson, Stafford. Only Prescott is under 30. Within 5 years most of these guys will be on their way out of the league. Unless some NFC teams start hitting some homeruns in the draft soon, the balance of power between the Conferences is about to get really skewed.

From '85 to '97 the NFC won 13 in a row. The Broncos broke the string and won back to back. 😁

If you remember, shortly after the Broncos broke the NFC stranglehold on the Superbowl, we experienced several years of much more competitive Championship games. Around this time, the NFL exploded in value. I don't think the two events are mere coincidence.

With current free agency, this can all flip pretty quickly. I don't think it's going to be a big deal.

Free agency, aggressive owners and good fortune will even things out.

I don’t know that it’s definitely that big of a problem, as evidenced by the fact that despite this disparity the Rams are probably the better team and will likely win this Super Bowl. But it certainly is odd that the best 4-6 young QB’s in the league are all in the AFC, and it could become a problem if a future star QB or two aren’t drafted in the NFC in the next couple of years.

I think Lance will be a stud starting next season. If the Cowboys can ever get out of their own way, Dak should be a major factor as well.

The reason the AFC has so many young QB's is because the teams are ran so poorly by Spanos, Khan, Brown, Haslam & etc owners.
We've already seen how bad ownership and exec decisions can force a guy to leave early with Andrew Luck.

Yeah, but none of these guys are in bad situations (unless we’re including Watson). In fact, to the contrary.

Dak is not in the same league as any of the guys we're talking.

Dak is a damn good QB. There is some weird ass narrative that he's not ever since he was up for an extension.

Dak is a good quarterback (I’d say borderline top 10) but I agree that he isn’t comparable to the young stars we’re talking about. Allen, Burrow, Lamar, Mahomes and Herbert all bring something special to the table. And I expect Lawrence to join that group soon.

Dak and Jackson aren’t franchise qbs in my opinion.
