  • OC and DC rumors Evero and Stenavich

Evero worked with Wade Phillips, Brandon Staley and Vic Fangio.

Seems like a young coach on his way up, I like it if we do in fact hire the guy.

Stevanich - I dont really care who the OC is now with Hackett aboard but the Rams are fun to watch so hopefully he is in on that.

Been hearing those rumors all day, can’t say I dislike any of it.

With the all the talent in our secondary, we could use a good pass defense specialist. However I do not see Bryce Callahan or Kyle Fuller remaining on the roster, nor do I see Kareem Jackson in a Denver uniform next year. We have Caden Sterns, Justin Simmons, Pat Surtain, and Ronald Derby. We will need to select some more DBs in this coming draft to bolster that secondary to back up our starters. So a defensive secondary specialist definitely would not hurt. Especially if the queefs actually draft more WRs. My only concern is that we’ll have new play callers on both sides of the ball with no play calling experience.

more attacking on defense, more turnovers, give up some more pts, but get off the field.

Evero’s resume is very intriguing. He’s worked for some all time greats in different schemes.

Yes, I noticed that, too. If he were able to blend those styles of defense, it will be intriguing.

All I want is coordinators that adjust their scheme to suit the talent available, not small peepee ones that need to shoehorn everyone in their system.

Yes. Haven’t had that since 2015.

also coordinators that can make halftime adjustments. I remember Wade being very good at that with the defense.

So I wonder what kind of offense we can expect with Hackett-Stevanich?

You saw plenty of them. Unfortunately, so did the defenses that they played against (5 seconds before the ball was thrown). Most were for little to negative yardage, due to telegraphed play calling.

I’m reading reports GB may promote Stevanich to OC. Who’s plan B? Getsy?

This sounds like a very interesting potential combo. I like it.

Evero was the best man at his wedding. Gotta be the donest of done deals.

I think either way it plays out you can’t lose. The guy who gets snubbed likely ends up in Denver. Getsy probably helps us with Rodgers and we still have Munchak’s expertise with the OL and run game.

New play callers on both sides of the ball who have zero play calling experience is all I may be concerned about.

Good point, and very possible. I personally believed it would be a foregone conclusion that GB would just promote Getsy, but maybe not the case. Got a good feeling about Getsy just because he would be closest to Rodgers, but we’ll see.

I’d rather have Getsy for the same reasons you mention but you say it as if we already have Rodgers lol but another reason I’d rather have Getsy is because we have Munchak.

Not my intention. By closest, just mean he works with Rodgers the most. Of course, he wouldn’t hurt to have if Rodgers does force himself out.

Without Rodgers this team will be awful next year with all first year coordinators and a first year head coach. Its almost negligent.
