  • Off-season fodder: Rodgers and Davante Article

I thought this one was a new spin on the Rodgers talk. I personally am not a huge Juedy fan so would love to unload him and land Davante.

That’s a lot of cash sitting in the WR position, but if you’re making a short term Super Bowl push you don’t really consider cap allocation - you just “make it work”.

    Thoughts?

There are no alternatives if you want to compete in AFC.. Trade for Wilson/Watson/Rodgers(whatever it takes)

Landing Rodgers might put the Broncos in short-term contention. I think there would still be serious issues with the offensive line.

Normally, I don't care what a player's political views are. But in this case, I would probably put the Broncos on ignore until he's out of here. Same with Cousins.

I only like quarterbacks who don’t boycott the Super Bowl.

Man you got this out before Wolf leaked it. How could you?

I’d trade Juedy for Adams in a millisecond

Paying a third WR a big deal + the extra draft compensation at a position of strength feels like diminishing returns

When is the soonest a trade can go down? Didn’t the Rams trade in principle with the Lions early?

I would trade Sutton for Adams

Jeudy will be special with a legit QB and without Shurmur calling plays. He is still on his rookie deal and his ceiling is so much higher than Sutton and Patrick. Look at Cooper Kupp this season that is the kind of skillset Jeudy has ( Release off the line, route running and the ability to play in the slot and outside. Paton is super smart and if you look at the contracts of Suttin and Patrick they could both be traded because the dead money hits are both below 5m.

If Rodgers wants Adams on the Broncos so bad he will have to take a team friendly deal because we cant pay around 70m combined (Rodgers 45m Adams 25m). No way Paton pays market value for both despite them arguably being the best in their positions in the NFL. We need Rodgers to do a Drew Brees contract 2 years ago and take maybe 10m a year less and tell Rodgers were going to go hard after Adams. If Paton could get Adams for 20-23m a year and both for around 60m per year we can structure both deals with big roster bonuses thus keeping the 2022 cap numbers very team friendly which would allow us to make some other big moves in FA on defense and make us an attractive spot for vets looking for a Superbowl run. The offseason is again going to be crazy i suspect.
