  • OT - Nano hydroxyapatite toothpaste

I don’t remember who recommended this stuff but THANKS! Easiest dentist appointment today I have had in years. Very little plaque, no sensitivity, and some small cavities re-mineralized plus this stuff whitens teeth like nothing else. Dentist even asked what I did. I have no idea why everyone isn’t using this stuff!

    Your welcome.

I tried the boka one too.
    it's good... But...
    I still prefer apagard.

Using Boka and I'll never use anything else again. Thanks coyote!

How did your dentist react when you told him/her? Curious since you’d think dentists would suggest this product but they don’t, considering the fact that the first time I ever heard of it was on a Broncos message board!

She actually uses a similar product in kids for remineralizing small cavities. She was supportive of the product

It took me years to share the secret on the ol' mane... or here.
I had a voice that kept telling me a KC Troll would see my advice and suddenly in one generation, "gee you got a pretty tooth cousin" would no longer be the mating cry of Missoura.

But then I watched one of those Sally struthers feed the children type things and I felt sorry for JR Cleatus and lil' Jim Bob.

Zero, Blue Oyster... If you are there...
Don't ever say I didn't care about the hill Billy tooth Sitiation. Y'all welcome.

I have had it in my Amazon wish list since it came up last time. Finally pulled the trigger.

Mine hadn't heard of it but had me show her what it was on Amazon. Next visit she asked me about it again. Seems interested. Really helps with dry mouth.

I tried this stuff, apagard, to terrible results. It resulted in major tooth pain so I had to go back to the old stuff. Give it a try though.

How is it different from regular toothpaste? I've never had dental problems for the most part, but have a pretty rigorous evening regimen with brushing, water pick, and floss.

Hydroxyapatite is the same substance your enamel is made from. This uses nano-hydroxyapatite to kill bacteria and actually remineralize your teeth. Fluoride can’t do that.

What brand have people had the most success with? I've been looking at changing to it but don't know if boka, apagard, or some other brand is the best one.

Yeah, I bought it on Coyote's recommendation, too. I like it. Sensitivity is definitely the biggest improvement. I've also grown a third nipple. But there are going to be side effects with literally anything.

To me, reading the history of fluoride in America was enough to get me to switch. This has no fluoride.

I keep telling you that just because you see other Hokies brush once a quarter, it doesn't mean that it's the right approach.

So what’s the theory on why this isn’t more mainstream? Why aren’t big players producing and marketing this? Are they afraid of existing product cannibalization? Is the fluoride lobby that strong?

Can't be shy about it. The trick is to get it in there nicely between the cracks and crevices.
