    Gospel: Become a Child of God

    With all the fear and anger in today’s society I want to pass on a message of hope. Gospel means ‘good news’. The hour is late, but you can accept Jesus into your heart and become a child of God. What greater promise is there then that?

    John 1:12-13
    New Living Translation

    12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

    If you believe in Jesus, you are a child of God. What does that actually mean? What are the benefits of having God as our Father?

      It's stated another way in the New Testament: "Wake up, sleeper, RISE from the dead, and Christ will SHINE on you" (Ephesians 5:14 NIV).

      He explains: "When we're awakened from our sleep of death when we rise from the grave, we shall literally be shining: 'Then the righteous will SHINE like the sun' (Matthew 13:43 CSB). Thus, at the moment we're brought back to life by God, we will 'rise and shine!' Amazing, isn't it?"

      It's no secret that the Bible says "the Word was God." The Gospel of John makes that clear in its very first verse. But is it possible the very words we speak are actually carrying divine messages from our Creator since God Himself is that ultimate Word?

                  Mr. 2 Masters Degrees, I've noticed you make this same grammatical error over and over and over and over again. You do it here in P&R, and you do it on the Main board. Please learn the difference between "then" and "than". I find it jarring; especially from one so highly educated as yourself. It shines a poor light down on us unwashed types. Makes us wonder if getting a Masters degree really improves a person's education.

                        So the admitted MDiv dropout just can't help but correct me because I have 2 completed Masters Degrees. My degrees are working out wonderfully for my family and businesses. Thank you for inquiring.
