Newsmax is a conservative Republican-oriented global news portal. It is run by wingnut hack and conspiracy theorist^[1] Christopher Ruddy (1965–),^[2] and principally lives on the Internet on news site sidebars. Christopher Ruddy, its CEO, has tried to make the network somehow even crazier and less fact-based than a major competitor to Fox News, and has even hired a few former Fox News hosts.

Newsmax is popular with the type of people who read WorldNetDaily; both outlets feature similar worldviews of an idealized conservative God-fearing America besieged by godless libruls, filthy sodomites, evil terrorists, immoral atheists and diseased illegal aliens. However, they managed to even out-wingnut WND when one of their contributors called on the military to overthrow Obama in a coup,^{[note 1]} saying that it would "restore and defend the Constitution". Yes, removing a President elected by the largest margin in decades and replacing him with a junta would restore the Constitution. This apparently was a foreshadowing of NewsMax's involvement with attempting to overthrow the 2020 U.S. presidential election,^[7] leading up to the 2021 U.S. Capitol riot. (R. Wiki)

This year is going to be one heck of a sanity check for Roh and Labron as they try to spin their minds around what an abject disaster this last year has been for Democrats.

And the longer Democrats seem so out of touch with the gravity of this New Malaise, the uglier things will get.

They (Dems in DC) make similar problems that Republicans make, which is ignoring the country as a whole, and its needs, and instead focusing on only two things. Attacking the other side, and catering to their most extreme constituents. It's a recipe for losing control of DC as quickly as you gained it.

It's been a terrible year for the country, and most of that the fault of the previous president (who tried to overthrow the government last January). An exterior threat (the pandemic) didn't bring us together. It inflamed our divisions. The Dems are getting torched for it, are politically too weak to do anything about it (any action they try will be obstructed and they are not a cohesive party anyway), the politics of the nation are as poisonous as they were before the Civil War, oligarchs control the agenda (see Princeton study showing total lack of influence on policy by U.S. citizens - lobbies control the agenda), the Fed has been propping up the casino economy for years, the overwhelming majority of wealth created gets funneled upward into the hands of very few (income inequality the greatest in history of civilization), poverty rate climbing, natural disasters from climate change climbing (to the tune of billions per event) and the Trump Party has no intention of doing anything about these issues. Trump's only concern is seizing power and going after his enemies and assorted scapegoats. The failure of the country feeds right into his agenda and the right wing propaganda machine is raging for him.

There are a number of enormous problems facing the country and I don't see any way it's going to continue. It's looking like the most dangerous era in our history. There are so many parallels to Weimar Germany at this point that it's not even funny. It's starting to look like a perfect storm of national collapse.

Meanwhile, billionaires are building refuges they can escape to all over the world, on sea and land. Even space. The smartest people in the room see what is coming.

The PC culture of the Democratic Party is turning a lot of people off now. It’s exhausting trying to keep up with whom now not to offend, so we stop trying. Heard recently that campaigns for Prostate Exams shouldn’t be target to “men”, but rather “People with Prostates” to be more inclusive… I mean when will it stop?

People are also tired of trashed, tent infested, drug ridden big cities. People are tired of elected leadership differing to letting her problem fester or get worse. It’s a complex problem, no doubt and no easy fixes… but it’s getting tiresome.

America is a drought stricken field of brush right now, and Trump is a flame thrower.

It would be the worst possible scenario for our country and possibly the world.

Why do you care about income disparity when the OVERALL standard of living keeps rising?

Yea, I think even those that are generally supportive, or at worst ambivalent, are just completely lost with things like Menstruating Persons, or your Prostate example. It's reaching the point of absurdity.

Worse, is I fear we are going to have a generation that includes a much higher percent of ****ed up individuals than the percent that we were trying to protect with all this "gender isn't binary" stuff. When parents decide to raise toddlers or five years olds as non binary, or transgender, I cringe at how many of those kids will commit suicide, or worse, kill others, due to the confusion that was thrust on them.

I've actually softened a lot on many social issues over the years, but things like pretending there aren't two sexes, or not saying "pregnant women", because it's insensitive to transgender women or men that want to have babies (I can't keep up with the logic), is just not going to fly with the masses in this country.

On crime, who woulda thunk that Suffolk, and more amazing, Nassau counties in NY would elect Republican DA's. It's been decades, but people are sick of the crime, and blame bail reform and letting criminals back on the street while waiting for trial as part of the problem. They may be liberal at their core, but when their neighborhoods aren't safe, they are willing to put the safety of their families over their political leanings.

All of that said, I still maintain, that those specific examples aside, both parties are guilty of the same when they win. Attack the other side, which got them elected, so "must" be a good thing to continue, and cater to the extreme part of their base (which got them through the primaries in many cases).

One thing I really wish President Obama had been able to do (not sure if he really tried, or was just a standard political campaign lie) was to change how Washington worked. Stop the pork and buying votes. Clean out the swamp, etc. Instead, things just got more partisan, and then went into hyper drive with President Trump.

I know this is a popular refrain from the left, but typically it's VERY short on facts. Can you elaborate on all the a parallels you see?

Our life expectancy data is tending to people getting sick earlier, being chronically ill and dying younger. 1/3 of Americans are obese… is that better living?

It’s tough for me to get excited about this poll considering the other poll out there that says that the coming freshly indoctrinated class of high school and college students turning 18 this year is overwhelmingly liberal. Yay.
