    Go on record about Chubb.

    Should we keep him? Should we keep and sign? Or should we let him go?

    It's tough, but I say let him walk. He doesn't seem to have that next level game.

    EDIT** Looks like he costs 12.7 million next year.

    They already picked up his option there is no reason to cut him and take 12M cap hit.

      He's a bust at this point, but unless things change, and they can, then ride out the current contract and decide at that time.

        The option is a decent thing in that it’s his last chance to show he can be healthy and productive for a full year.

        Should have been Josh Allen.

            He flashes big play ability once in a while, but his durability is obviously holding him back… I mean at a team friendly price he’s good player… top dollar in a year, pass and move on.

              Chubb seems like he's a step to slow. Maybe he's still healing. 13 million isn't chump change.

                  Health is too concern. I suspect that we will fire Fangio. Who will be the new defensive coordinator? If he plays a 4-3 or if he attacks & blitzes more then Fangio’s bend, but don’t break then we will need to evaluate Chubb and other defenders.

                    Chubb is listed 275 and Jones is 281. Shelby is 290. Will be interesting to see what direction defense takes.

                          He had a really nice rookie season, then has been hurt for the past 2-3 years.

                          I want to see him fully healthy before making any claim about his ability. He did prove it once.

                            He's already locked in on his 5YO, but he hasn't stayed healthy enough to merit a long-term, big money deal. Coaches and defensive scheme for next year is still TBD. Worth re-evaluating after next season pending health/performance, but as of now, I'd definitely let him walk after 2022.

                              See that's the problem. I fully agree when healthy Chubb can get it done. The real question should be will he ever be healthy enough ?

                                    He was universally loved coming out of college. The only arguments that could have been made at the time were taking Quenton Nelson or, for the gamblers, Josh Allen.

                                      He is a bust. Unless we can move him and most of his contract while getting something (doubtful) he can contribute next year.

                                      The idea at the time of the draft wasn't bad and he did kind of fall to us. Miller, Chubb, it sounded good. Chubb taking Miller's spot, sounded good. Chubb injured and disappearing doesn't sound good but that's what we got.

                                      Glad I found the "new" orangemane...I see a lot of familiar screen names.

                                        I haven't watched enough film this year to know (killed Directv, so mainly listen to the games unless I'm fortunate enough to have them aired, which doesn't happen often in this era of suckitude). Is Chubb being double teamed? We have the greenest of green LB corps right now, so wouldn't be surprised if he's not getting home because he's the only one they bother blocking. If that's not the case, cut him as soon as it's cap friendly and accept the fact he's a JAG.

                                            Should have drafted Allen or Nelson. He’s always hurt and rarely see him making plays when he’s in the lineup.

I bet he would be a better player under Wade Phillips. If no improvement is made next season, he will be officially labeled a bust.

                                                  I think the system and how Chubb/Von Miller where used in it are major factor in Chubb performance.
