  • Did anyone on here expect this season to end differently then it did ?

From the minute Fangio announced that TBW was going to be the starter I knew we would be ending just like we have. Average, well It it could be below average. The worst part about this is that the coaches and head office new this as well and were ok with it.

I was pretty happy when we got Paton . I loved the fact that he was supposed to be a drafting guru. It looks like he may be that as well but if you don't have the balls to fire people then I don't know if you are the guy. How Fangio and his staff were not fired halfway through the season I have no idea but it was a HUGE mistake.

So are there any coaches that are safe ?

Munchak and that could be argued

    Kuper

    Modkins

    Herring

That's all I can think of and like I said some of those could be argued.

    Your thoughts on who stays.

Paton comes from Vikings.. They don't value the QB position.

Everyone knew ..with TB/Lock as starting QB's we can't compete.

Sad that we let this continue since SB50. I just hope that we are aggressive in pursuing the QB in free agency(Wilson/Rodgers).. whatever it takes, we need to get them.

Immediate action - replace the Coaches and hire HC(GB/Bills OC).

Even if we draft a QB in first round..we will be able to develop them. Don't hire a defensive mind coach..most of them suck.

I thought this team had 10 wins in it based on talent alone. The way we dominated the first 3 games made me think we had a shot, despite losing all of our starting LB's. The Washington game was really the turning point for me. We didn't deserve to win that game and we had played so terribly that it was a wonder we won the first three. The coaching was atrocious and Teddy seemed to lose confidence as each quarter of play progressed. The defense was allowing a TD within the first 5 minutes of every game and we'd be lucky to score a field goal by the half. Williams was looking like a monster, so of course we would give the ball to Fumble Machine Gordon instead, and only give him 8 totes a game at most. This team looks hungry, but it looks lost and leaderless. Really hoping for change from the top down next year. Another great draft by Paton. Either a blockbuster QB trade or the acquisition of a HC that brings a young QB friendly offense and a QB whisperer with him. Don't waste PSII or JSimms career on average coaches. Go get it Broncos.

I wanted to say that but I don't know as Sutton seems to be digressing as well Juedy. I'll give it Patrick has been good. It's a hard one.

I will also say Kuper is probably up there because of his history with the broncos. I really can't say much about our O-line.

Sutton's injury recovery - I don't think he's 100%; Shurmer's horrible play calling with Jeudy. TB checking down and not being aggressive with the tools available.

But, you do have a point as well.

Fant showed up yesterday with a different QB.... Just sayin'.

                Half the OM did.

Huge amount thought it was playoffs. I know because I fought with them the whole way.

I said 5-7 wins 8 wins at best.

I had hopes of a playoff spot. But the seeming lies around the "Competition" soured me on Fangio. Didn't matter who"won." Fangio was done to me. Then the entire crap around Shurmur meant the Broncos were not even as "good" as they were under Scans. The regression under TBW was/is demoralizing and disgusting. I am not surprised we are where we are, but I am fed up with Fangio and Shurmur and McMahon. I will try and hope some real changes will be made. But honestly, until the Bowlen kids are gone, nothing will change.

I think injuries cost this team at least a game or two. That said, I don’t use that as an excuse that should save this coaching staff’s jobs. I want them gone.

Even more of a reason to fire them. Everyone has injuries it's football. Be prepared.

Kiszla just asked all the people of Denver to not attend next weeks game. Says the coaching staff needs to be held responsible for no accountability .

Yes and no. Yes, everyone has injuries. No, everyone doesn’t have injuries to the degree the Broncos do this year. And the teams who do, like the Ravens, have completely gone off a cliff. Harbaugh is a considerably better coach than Fangio and has done a better job overall, but even his good coaching wasn’t enough in the fact of their injury issues.

I get what you are saying but in the end it's just another excuse. A reason to keep on with the average play and ho hum attitude. We are and have been flat for years. No fire. If we got a guy with fire they were traded. I don't get it.

I do get that I'm tired of excuses. It's time we take a stand and become proud and the best origination in the league again.

I didn’t have any expectations, but was excited that we got a shot early at three bad teams. Thought maybe if we stayed healthy, maybe split with the Raiders/ Chargers… didn’t think we’d steal one against the Chefs… but overall you never know…

really a strange year in the AFC, really lucky to stay in the hunt until lasts week. But that was a whimper of an effort for a team whose back was against the wall…

                              I jokingly said 13-4.
and I backed that it was a joke up by saying Teddy would have around 1300 passing yards but Williams would go for 1500 rushing yards and Gordon would go for 1100.

I was joking. But that's damn near what happened minus some rushing yards and plus some TBW dinks and of course the wins.

                              Here is my plan...

                              Go all out for Rodgers/Wilson.

Draft lineman and LBs up top other than QB.

For QB here is the list I want for drafting in no order:

                              1st tier...
                              Pickett
                              Strong
                              Ridder
                              Corral

                              second tier...

                              Willis
                              Zappe
                              Thompson-Robinson
                              Purdy
                              Garbers

The team would be winners with Wilson or Rodgers almost any div III college ST coach, a place holder (underling to the new QB) OC, and Fangio still here.
Also we should let the QB and new OC call the time outs if Meatballs stays. Fangio is horrible at time management.

But yeah... That would change a lot.

That we didn’t start Lock to know better what we had was horrible. Not firing coaches showed a lack of accountability.

Id skip the Matt Ryan/Cousins options and go draft.

My top option in draft right now is Pickett. I think where we are we may need to trade up to get him, but we have the ammo.

That's all I can think of and like I said some of those could be argued.

                                            Your thoughts on who stays.

We actually have one more win than I predicted. In figured we would at least win one against the Raiders. I never saw us beating Dallas.

I’m not going to lie. I expected a better season. I had them at 9-10 wins, possibly getting a wildcard. I thought the defense would be pretty good with Von and Chubb playing together. I thought our secondary would be top notch. I knew TBW would struggle, but would get helped by a strong running game. This season was just another disappointment like the past five.

Kiszla just asked all the people of Denver to not attend next weeks game. Says the coaching staff needs to be held responsible for no accountability .
