I take it you never been to this area. Where do you think all the politician elite have their hideaways? You think they will let it dry up? Lol
not only the most wealthiest live here from CA, the most wealthiest from around the world have homes here.
read the demographics…me thinks you wouldn’t fit in! :
Full real estate market profile for Carmel, CA investors, appraisers and lenders. Exclusive trends, forecasts and reports for every address.
this area will never be without water because Salinas valley AG prevents that. Water will always be available.
desal plants are already in the works also. CA will be fine.Last edited by The1percentKid; 03-29-2022, 10:35 AM.

This is truth.
Carmel is pretty damn cool.
I love the little seafood place that serves tapas (but only if you ask.)
When I lived in Newport Beach I used to drive all the way to Carmel for business meetings and I'd randomly run into friends from Europe that had houses there. I spent the night there many times or if I had to get back, I'd still take the scenic path and stop halfway back at Big Sur and nap.
If it wasn't so small of spaces, (I prefer buying a 500 acre ranch to a beach house) Carmel would be at the top of the list for places I'd be happy to live at...

That's also because of fire risk.
Cactus doesn't require water everyday and helps conserve so they don't waste water. And they don't catch fire. It's like having a mote against fire approaching.
But two of my friends that live there have gray water set ups and when they shower or wash their hands, that waters the lawn. They have very green lawns.
