  • OT: Fire in Superior

Totally crazy. I’ve never heard of a fire there this time of the year. I hope all you knuckleheads are safe.

The insanely cold storm we had out here in CA/Tahoe hasn’t reached Colorado yet? Seems like all that moisture would fizzle a fire down.

Not supposed to hit here until later today - first in the mountains before it hits the Greater Denver area.

The fire ( obviously - prayers to those impacted) is getting all the press. But the wind was insane. Big rigs being blown over on 470. Neighborhoods being battered by dust and sand. It was nuts.

Normally, I would have already had 40+ of snow. We've had nothing measurable.

                  Crazy.

No moisture for months and months on end. Brutal.

If the storm we had stays together that’ll change.

We have more snow in our Sierra than we’ve had in years. Broke a 51 year record for snowpack in December.

I think the mountains are supposed to take most of it. Only predicting around 10 inches for my area. Which hopefully means around 16 inches. 2-6 for metro.

There was some crazy dust clouds out there. Like being sand blasted.

How high are you? We had snow here down to 1K feet. A few feet in Carmel Valley which is only about 30 miles from the ocean. Sierra the snow line was Placerville which is pretty low
