  • Ownership Rumors

The latest rumor of interested buyers now includes Jay Z and apparently Tim Cook. If Jay Z gets an ownership group, hello Brooklyn.

Whachoo mean: "Hello Brooklyn?" Bezos might be okay. He delivers. Don't know Jay Z. Sounds like a brand of chair: Lazy Z. Cook? Bowlen family might make out like bandits.

Any Ownership rumors you hear between now and 2023 have a likelihood of less than 1%. Right now every rumor monger in the market is throwing shit against the wall to see if something sticks.

Of course but Jay Z has repeatedly made it known he wants an NFL team and I don't think he cares who. But he can't afford the Broncos as is.

He’d be part of an ownership group.

Assuming this is a serious question, he’s the CEO of Apple.

If Jay-Z buys the team, the Broncos will have the best sound system and half time entertainment that money can buy. DO IT!

Bezos can afford to buy EVERY NFL team.

that kind of money would put Denver in serious competition to have state of the art everything. No penny pinching and an owner who wouldn’t meddle with how things are done.

Right, he’d be part of an ownership group. Same as if Peyton Manning were to get involved.

I’d rather have one owner than a bunch of minds trying to push the team in their own directions.

I’m okay with either as long as they put a strong GM in charge and let him do his thing. Meddling owners are almost always a net negative.

It may end up being a group. Not too many single owners can take that on. The pool of billionaires who can take on all of the buy is small, and ones who want an NFL team are smaller. Which is why Bezos will always be linked to any team for sale. Whether it’s Wash Den Chargers etc

Ownership groups can work out just fine. Look at the Dodgers. They went from being second fiddle to the Giants, to being one of the premier franchises in MLB after they were taken over by an ownership group.

With Amazon potentially buying the next Sunday Ticket Contract, how would that work? Seems like there would a conflict of interest.

There is zero chance the Broncos get moved. The point of owning a NFL team is ultimately to make money. Every year I hear you lucky SOB's complain about how little you moved up in the que for your season tickets. 50 years of sellouts. Not to mention they also own the stadium. Who is going to give them market value for a big ass stadium in downtown Denver? There is no way this works financially. And why TF would you want to? The Faid and the Rams were both bottom feeders in crap markets that didn't care about them. That's not our case.

First moves: Paton fired, Vance Joseph back as HC.
