No matter what do not play Jeudy. I hate when players get hamstring injuries. They linger and linger and then pop up again when it's thought they are healed. Keep him out. Looking forward to seeing how different the team performs with Payton behind the wheel.

Ok, so I'll prognosticate on the offensive gameplan.

What is the Raiders defensive strength? D-line/pass rush. How do you negate that? Double teams/pulling linemen in the run game, and quick passes on offense. So, I think we'll see our Guards trying to destroy their DEs in pull/trap plays in the run game. However, the Raiders have also brought in some young guys in the Defensive Tackle position, so I think we won't be afraid to test the middle there either. Here's where we see what Ben Powers has in the tank.

Quick passes, screen passes, bubble screens, slants, drags. Keep the Raiders D-line chasing plays. Gas them at altitude.

Once you start seeing slow feet, thats when Russ will chuck the deep ball. I expect 3-4 "Hail Mary" shots down the field to either Sutton on the boundary, or Mims on a deep post. One of those should hit pay dirt.

Payton has just shown us in the final preseason game that he will continue to go for the jugular if the plays are there, so I don't think a "run the clock" strategy exists in his mind (unless he's closing out the game with a lead). He will use every opportunity to shake this Raiders curse, and hang as many points as he's capable of.

If we don't shoot ourselves in the foot, or shit the bed with turnovers. I expect that the Broncos will score over 30 points, and the Raiders should be in the teens. I'll go with a final score of Broncos 34, Raiders 17. Fuk McD. Fuk duh Raihdus.

So, I'm assuming that they will not play Jeudy. That leaves three Wide Receivers active on game day. Will they activate a couple from the PS, and which ones?

My expectation based on preseason play is Lil’Jordan Humphrey. It looks like the QBs and the coaches were calling his number more often as the preseason went along. I think he’s “our guy” to replace Jeudy while he’s injured. I expect them to give him a real shot also - he feels like a Tim Patrick replacement, so I think they’ll gradually try to work him into “that guy.”

I like Humphrey, and he does kind of feel like a Patrick replacement to me as well. Sills intrigues me. Played a lot as a QB when he was a young boy. Injured a knuckle and it messed up his throwing mechanics forever. He's very lanky but plays tough and he's always been very 'football smart' even as a little kid. I think he bumped Hinton off of the Practice Squad.

Other than WR I'm worried about what RB Williams is going to look like. I thought he looked OK in the preseason but I didn't seem him doing what he did before the injury. OK but not great. That's not necessarily important though because I don't know what the coaches told him to do. There's a good chance that they told him to just go out there and run some plays without pushing himself too much.

Good news, we don’t have to have a 100% Williams to win this game or start the year. Perine was getting a very respectable 7 yards per run in the last preseason game (running up the gut). I think he’s the feature back this week, with Williams and McLovin also getting some good snaps. I agree - bring him along until he feels comfortable. But just knowing his style, Williams is going to try to truck someone this week - that’s just how he plays.

Lot to prove with that whole group except Meinerz, he’s legit. Not sure Powers isn’t just a big fatass turnstile.

Watch the 49ers game again. Powers was blowing guys off the ball in the run game. But it’s the two pass plays that everyone remembers. He’ll be alright. If Payton was really worried about him, he would’ve played the last game.

Maxx Crosby is going to eat Bolles for lunch and the Broncos interior Dline probably won't stop Jacobs. The Broncos probably can't win many games.

Crosby will play against McGlinchey. Anyway, it's going to be ugly in pass protection. Sean Payton knows it, so I guess he will try to wear Crosby down by running at him or use a TE or FB help the protection.

I may have gotten the meal incorrect, but neither tackle can block Crosby.

Crosby plays LOLB and typically doesn't line up against Bolles. Crosby has feasted on the broncos RT "talent" over the years

Did anyone hear the PC Payton did on Monday? Total night and day from his PC’s during the offseason and TC. It was terse and unemotional. I could hear it in his voice, he had his game face on already. He and the boys have been preparing since last week. This is NOT Hackett we are dealing with, this is a real and proven NFL coach getting his team ready.

I don’t know if the Broncos are going to blow them out, but they will win the game. The raiders have much more problems right now than we do, and they don’t have the coach to correct it quickly. In fact, McDouche IS part of the problem.

Agree uplink. Besides, we already beat Garapallo last year when he had a MUCH better coach & team than he does now.

Garapalo is pretty good at dinking and dunkin.

But I have faith in the D this year.
We got upgraded at LB and Edge and Zach Allen can flush guys into our Edges.

Garapalo is soft and lacks the killer instinct. This plays a role when things get tough in games. Also Carr was a better leader in the locker room, this is going to lay bare a lot more of McDs problems dealing with players this year as they won't have Carr's abilities to talk to players and control the locker room as a legit long term team leader. Expect even more locker room explosions this year from the fade.

Reminds me of Shanny pressers. Real quick to shut down dumb questions and obviously didn’t want to be there answering dumb questions. Kept it short and was all business.

The other thing that will remind you of Shanny is how well his team is prepared. Doesn’t mean he wins them all, but the team will either win or go down fighting. They will win this Sunday.

I think this game comes down to the broncos offensive line. The raiders can only win in Denver if their D line beats the broncos offensive line with pressure and stopping the run game. Payton knows what he is doing when focusing on the o line construction.
