                      Yes he did. But that magnifies how useless Paton really is. But Payton didn’t want Joseph at first choice. Payton wanted Fangio. Then wanted Flores(edit for Bowles). He settled for Joseph because there wasn’t anybody left. The defense will decline this year. Just watch all the Cardinal games last year and see what it will look like as far as secondary schemes, pressure, and so forth.

                          Bowles? He was never available. He's a head coach.

                          Sean Desai, Brian Flores, Kris Richard, and Rex Ryan were the other candidates.

                                  Payton said about assembling his staff: slow to hire, quick to fire. We'll see how long Vance will last. He might not finish the season as the DC. Vance is a DBs coach. Not a HC, not a DC. I'd rather have Rex Ryan bringing the heat than Vance using this vanilla scheme. And I believe Ryan as DC would have been a hit in the Broncos' locker room. Payton also passed on Matt Patricia, but I'm not sure he would have been a good hire.

                                          Plenty of reasons why to be bitter over several years. But for this particular thread I believe 2017-2018 is a couple good reasons. All teams fans have these kinds of reactions during losing years.

                                                                Entirely new coaching staff. At least give them a chance, jeez. Not like they’re exactly working with an All-Pro roster, either. 🤷🏼‍♂️ We might still suck for 2-3 more years and Sean Payton could still end up being the right hire to build us back up.

                                                                  Yeah, playing better for sure. I can't put my finger on it but it seems the players know what they are supposed to do on every play and they are just focusing and not over thinking stuff. They are executing. They might be loosing close preseason games, but its not because players are making dumb mistakes for the most part as in the past.

                                                                    Last year was a new coaching staff too. Some good coaches some terrible I.e. Hackett. This year Payton is the leader not Joseph. If he sees the defense struggle Payton will hold Joseph accountable. These games results are meaningless but they are exposing the depth of this team is beyond bad. The roster is thin on an injury plagued team and that may be why some are skeptical.

He is right sometimes and forces us to take a critical look at the team and its transactions. Football has been kind of painful these past 7 years so any extra entertainment helps. When he posts he gets a lot of replies I notice.

                                                                                                      Agreed. VJ is terrible. And should be an outcast in the league. But, the point that a lot of people are making is that Wolf has the mental capacity of a 2 yr old and blames everything on Paton. When in fact, this hire was made by Sean. Once again, proving Wolf's ineptitude.

                                                                                                              If you just see it as comedy then its fine. I do think he intends to be funny and entertain us. Some of what he says is so absurd the intent must be comedy. For instance VJ hasn't coached a game yet for the broncos as DC and he is already a cancer and a disease.
