They could bring him back, but I don’t see the point. He has just 12 catches the last 2 years combined.

Maybe... I guess the bigger thing is... not looking promising for another year.

KJ has some type of chest/ heart condition that requires meds and rest for a period of time

Feel so bad about Patrick, but could care less about KJ. Go pick up another WR, they are a dime a dozen.

Mims is going to see more action sooner than expected. (if he ever gets over the hamstring issues).

I'll point out that this is another professional athlete with a heart condition and leave it at that.

My shock is only that it took this long.

Even worse... statistically it's possible it may have increased... but due to Covid itself. I know personally of a case involving a teenager who acquired heart issues directly after Covid.

No vaccination in play. Medical journals had published on the correlation of Covid and heart complications well before the vaccine was available to the public.

So how do we now pretend to separate the cause?

                      Thanks Garcia! 👍

It’s just one thing after another with KJ. It’s a shame because the trait that got him drafted so high (can run deep very fast and actually catch the ball) we’ve seen enough times to know it translates.

                        From his draft profile:

Explosive slot target who hits the scales as a lightweight but could have heavyweight impact on games. Hamler's blazing speed is used solo and in route combinations to stress secondaries and create big plays. He had an alarming number of drops in 2019 and the routes are ragged, but his athleticism and separation burst on all three levels helps mitigate those concerns. He's a smallish slot who isn't built for the tough yardage and could have durability concerns if he's run into too many collisions. However, speed kills and his game-breaking potential on all three levels will be enticing as a high-risk, high-reward draft pick.

Didn’t say it was a strength and it typically isn’t for that player profile. I just said he can which is a far cry from a John Ross or Troy Williamson whose hands you could never count on. KJ had several deep targets last year and I don’t remember any drops.

Yeah, I just recall his hands being one of the major reasons he was a terrible pick. Along with his size, injury issues, and being a luxury pick after taking Jeudy in the 1st. Just awful drafting.

The whole idea that they were going to build this explosive offense around Drew Lock is so crazy in hindsight.

We're nearing a decade in the wilderness built on the flawed foundation of "NFL QBs are made, not born"

Yeah. There have been exceptions (almost always with superior athletes) but I generally believe you’re going to see it immediately with a QB. They may not play well overall but you can see the traits that will eventually make them successful. Comfort level in the pocket is the big one for me. The guys who panic will still do that if you give them the 1997 Broncos line.

He will probably get healthy then get picked up by kFc because Toney is out and become the new Eddie Kinnison.

I think Lock showed enough flashes his rookie year to justify trying to build an offense around him. He was athletic, strong arm, and threw 100 TDs over his college career.

A QB with those attributes is normally a top 10 pick. But, he was just so unbelievably inconsistent, with a lot more bad than good, that’s why he fell to the 2nd round, and why he ultimately failed here.

He had the talent, I think the hope was with enough pieces he could turn the corner. Bad drafting didn’t help either, to swing twice in a draft absolutely loaded with receivers and miss both times is bad. Though, I still have hope for Jeudy.

Jeudy would be getting Jerry Rice numbers if he had a QB that could hit I'm off his ankle breaking breaks with timing so the CB hasn't caught up...

Our QB makes him play like Sutton and have to bash through DBs to get the ball.

He still leaves a lot of catches and yards on the field even with all that. He has some of the worst YAC instincts I’ve ever seen. Get upfield mother****er
