I don’t know, this is the least excited for a football season I’ve ever been. These last few years have been painful, with last year by far being the worst. Add in the refs controlling games throughout the playoffs, and it’s all just so “meh”.
Now, the injuries are quickly adding up… Here we go again….Comment

I must admit the same thing. Its hard to get as excited for many reasons. Add the revolving door of coaches over and over you can't build anything. Even with Payton here I expect 24 being better than 23 due to more experience in the system. Getting pelted with injuries before we play any games year after year. RW worst trade in Broncos history even if Payton pulls magic out of the bottle I'd still be more excited with a young guy that isn't almost 35 at 50 mil in a very young QB AFC for the most part. Nothing worse than being in a SB window because of the RW trade and not having the roster for a SB run. We can always say IF we stay healthy we can win games but, until we actually witness it ourselves can we believe it honestly NO we can't.

Anyone else into the Tour de France? Great to watch during the summer. I love the mountain stages the most. Great views of the old castles and chateau's and Pogacar and Vingegaard have a great rivalry. It's on NBC's USA sports channel and Peacock. Too bad this is the last year of Phill Leggett doing the commentary. Phil and Bob Scherwin were an amazing duo but Bob stepped down a few years back then passed away.
I know they are most likely roided up especially the way they speeds they took up the mountain stages this year but I don't care. Probably the hardest event in sporting.

Any chance I might have had to care about that sport dies every time I see these Lance Armstrong wannabee's roaming around on the F'ing main roads in their stupid tour jerseys.
I do not get these F'ing people.
1. Look at me! Look at me cool jersey! I'm being sponsored by Gnard's chain lube and Pflemenoogleschpect peddle enhancement inc.
2. Let me get out here on the busiest road I can find and make sure I ride out in it so everyone can see me and make your 10 minute trip to the store take half an hour!
3. Also...FU....I don't need to look and see what you're doing because this bright ass jersey I'm wearing means i'm F'ing invincible and you should be looking at me!
4. And I can be on this road becaue the law says I'm equal to your car...but F that STOP SIGN or STOP light, I'm riding right through that MFer!
5. I'm hauling ass with this areo dynmic bike helmet that is allowing me to go a blazing 13 MPH instead of 12.
6. ....and check me out all hunched over to get the lowest profile I can. This stage through heavy residential traffic you need all the advantage you can get.
7. And F riding on the shoulder and getting out of the way for you and your car.
There are a million places to go ride your damn bike and you gotta get out here with the everyone else in their cars which is dangerous enough without your ass clogging up the works! FU bicycle guy!Comment

Paul Sherwin passed from cancer actually. I definitely miss his color commentary and the amazing homework he did on all the castles/monuments/historical sites for each stage. It's a shame that Pogacar cracked this year as it was shaping up to be a race that would have hinged on seconds. Chapeau Vingegaard. Very high chance that most of the peloton still dopes as they already get pressure at the National team level to take a needle. Doesn't take away from the fact that they are the best of the best. The grand tours are insane feats of human endurance. The Tour de France was actually designed to never be finished. For years the winner never actually finished all the stages. So seeing 140+ riders cruising down the Champs de Elysees every year is a miracle in itself. Go see it in person if you get a chance. I'd highly recommend a time trail stage and a mountain stage if you can pull it off. The TT stages allow pretty amazing access to the riders and the mountain stages give you a sense of just how popular the sport is (as well as just how fast these guys are flying UPHILL). I last went in 2009 and it was amazing.Comment
