  • Drew Lock Sucks. Change My Mind.

    Yes, TBW sucks too.

Lock got everything a lot were asking for after last week's game. He needs an entire week of starter reps for this game. He got all the reps, all the game planning, and he put up a turd, outside of a few throws.
He's not a game changer. He's not a play maker. The offense doesn't seem to rally behind him.
So help me to understand how he is really a top 10 QB without putting all the blame on the coaches. How many starting QBs would he actually start over right now?

We all knew TB and Lock sucks. last year, they were at the bottom. Our great GM thought it's a good idea to bring them together .
No wonder the competition is close.

If our FO doesn't wake up, they will continue to suck.

Upgrade the QB position by trading for Wilson/Rodgers(whatever it takes). if not, draft a QB in first round and provide all the tools(coaching, offensive talent).

Kept on ignoring the position since SB50.

Coaching is probably worse than the QB position. TBW is what he is. I don’t think he’s even as bad as these coaches make him look. Lock clearly has a better arm and a much higher ceiling. I’d love to see him go to a team like the Saints where he’d get insanely better coaching than he’s ever had here.

        Why?
        I agree.

        But Fangio sucks more.
        Shurmer sucks more.
        And McMahon sucks more.
Lock didn't call plays with 6 yard routes on 3rd & 8. That's was Shurmer. Lock didn't play bend but don't break to let the opponents march down field all ****ing year. He also hit Patrick, Jeudy and Albert O with passes they dropped that would have changed the Raider's game.

In conclusion. Drew Lock has potential still.
Our coaches can not grow anymore. And are idiots.
Keep Drew, he can back up Rodgers/Wilson. Or be a bridge for a new draft pick. Let Teddy and the band of boneheads be gone.

I watched the game on replay. I thought Lock was not bad. He had no running game and poor pockets all game long. His receivers where constantly dropping passes. I only saw a couple of not so good throws from him. Defenses seem to always play well against the broncos, its as if they know the play calls somehow. It seems the OC would have made some halftime adjustments but that never seems to happen. With more experience Lock will be a starting NFL QB.

The offense has been ineffective this year, and rounds out a 5 year run of inconsistency and struggle.

Drew Lock needs to pack his bags now and get the F out of this organization.

He was okay yesterday. Our Oline isn’t very good, our run plays aren’t explosive and our receivers drop big, catchable balls all the time.

              Vic will be fired.

Lock wasn’t terrible…. I guess. But, seriously, last week some dude named Garrett Gilbert threw for more yards than Lock, and he’d only been on Washington’s team for like 2 days when he started.

Yes there were drops and no run game, but they could’ve just pulled some dude off the street and he could’ve easily did what Lock did. After 3 years, in Lock’s biggest game of his career, he plays like Garrett Gilbert

3 freakin’ years we wasted on the Lock/Fangio clown show. After 3 years, they get 158 yards of offense, nearly as bad as the Kendal Hinton game.

yep..we all knew Lock and TB sucks.. I blame our GM for not recognizing this.
Should have tried hard to get Stafford or draft a QB in first round.

                  No playoff's since SB50..

Our GM will now come to podium and talk about "How he won't tolerate the failure".. same shit talk every year.

maybe they did have a trade for Stafford and then Rams stepped in.

Paton tried to upgrade the position.

I'd blame some of the playoff drought on our high-dollar players as well. They're the leaders. It's a team effort.

I thought he played well for Drew ball. ( No turnovers) But he sucks as an NFL qb.

Drew is probably not the answer, but he is no worse than Teddy, but actually has an arm. He should have started from day one. He would have improved as well, starting 1 game is different than starting 14 games. Drew was horribly developed. But at least George has the ammo needed to fully change the staff, players, whatever he wants. Let's go for a top 10 offense and a top 15 or 20 D, I'd be ok with flipping the script completely. No more defensive minded coaches please!

That scramble where Lock went sideways trying to get the first down and was slower than Peyton Manning. So many facepalm worthy moments yesterday…

All he had to do was fall forward and we get the first. Lock has no field awareness at all. He's running and doesn't know where he's going.

The fact that he didn’t get them out any bad run plays says a lot why teddy is starting, He can not read a defense pre or post snap.

Drew wasn't bad. OL was bad. Run game was as bad as it has been in any one game in the last 5 years. WRs constantly ran routes shy of the sticks on 3rd downs. They also dropped several balls.

All that said, the Raiders (unlike the Bronco's dumbass defense) were dedicated to taking advantage of three things. #1. Cushenberry being out. #2. A suspect OL, especially the right side. #3. Drew Lock's inability to make plays under pressure.

Who knew Cush was that important to the OL's success? He hasn't been stellar this year but the drop off from him to Schlotman was enormous. There was a third down play where the Iso'd Crosby so much that the Raider's alignment looked like it was missing two players on the DL. Three DL all to the left of C. Then one DL (Crosby) to the right of Massie. RB in that alignment should help the overload side and you should have at least two (RT, RG) to block Crosby... maybe even three if the TE chips and slows his rush from the onset. Crosby still got home. That isn't on Lock. What is on Lock though is how much he melts down with pressure. If Lock is clean he can be all-world. When he has pressure he loses it. With our OL he loses it a LOT!

Mobile QB gets that 1st down. Like the ones we see always get first downs against broncos defense.

What I saw would’ve happened with Teddy out there….

same result if Teddy was out there. Ugly loss with no offense.

this team continues to put out garbage QBs every year. 2021 was no different. Why? Because the fired FO picked the new GM.

All comes down to this... We still need a QB. Should have drafted Fields. And if Fields didn't pan out then go back to the QB well again (And AGAIN if necessary). You have to get it right. There is a reason the elite get 1/4 of their team's cap.

Lock is not the answer. Period. Stop making Lock happen. He's not gonna happen. Elway sucks at drafting quarterbacks. Never let him near the scouting department ever again.

he's a weird dude to watch. look the part but doesn't ever really accomplish anything. he doesn't score points and doesn't convert third downs. its the same story as last year. style over substance. funny thing is after all the bitching this year from fans that vic should have played him he gets the two most important games of the year and fails again and it's still not his fault.

There was a defender in the middle of the field closing on him, that why he was heading to open green toward the sideline… credit the hussle of the defender behind Lock for making a big play…
