Looking forward to this one. My only concern is, Part One was so freaking awesome it set the bar super-high. Can Part 2 match it? Hopefully but I’m all-in either way lol. -
Can't wait. This is the payoff from the set up of part 1. Books were freaking awesome. Some of the preambles made me put the book down and think for a good amount of time about what I just read. Worms, space, spice ect whatever, the books were about governance of people on a galactic scale. Herbert was head and shoulders above his contemporaries.Comment

I never read the books, but when I saw the movie I thought this is great, but man this movie really ripped off Star Wars. Turns out it was the other way around! Can’t believe how much George Lucas got away with lifting, LMAO. I do like Star Wars (the original trilogy - none of the others ever happened 🤬), but Dune is so much better IMHO.Comment

Check out the Kurosawa film "Hidden Fortress" sometime. "It tells the story of two peasants who agree to escort a man and a woman across enemy lines in return for gold without knowing that he is a general and the woman is a princess."
