  • Kirk Cousins, Paton’s target?

AaRon Rogers , Watson & Wilson have the most talent, but Cousins may be Paton’s most reasonable target.

That has led, once again, to calls for the quarterback to be replaced in Minnesota. Now, it should be noted that the Vikings have no chance of cutting Cousins in 2022. They would incur more than $40 million in dead cap while saving nothing, per Over the Cap. Finding a trade partner would be ideal as it would save the franchise $35 million.
Vikings fans are either just about or have been fed up with Kirk Cousins. If Minnesota wants to replace their QB, they don't have to get Corral or Willis.

After seeing the Beasley thing unfolding in Buffalo, I can’t imagine risking it with an unvaccinated QB. No thanks.

If we were gonna get Cousins, it should have been years ago when he was a free agent

If rumors were true, it would have been interesting to have had Cousins and Shanahan together. Joe Ellis evidently was against it.

Yes. It’s a purgatory. This team needs to figure out the best coaching and quarterback combination and go for it. Trying to patch the biggest hole in a boat with a bandaid isn’t going to cut it.

Shanny & Cousins here? Nah, Joe Ellis was more concerned with padding his pockets. He booted Shanny Sr out.

Yep, we are obsessed with .500 football. Ridiculous.

If Fangio is still your coach....Cousins to Denver could have some traction. I'm thinking that if GB has some post season success, Rodgers will work things out and stay put. I think he likes his coach there even if he isn't chums with the front office.

If Wilson is going to be moved, other teams in bigger markets have more to offer in terms of trade assets. the Giants have the kind of ammo it would take to best a Broncos offer.

Watson is a complete mystery still. As time passes, I am inclined to believe he and Houston might have to mutually agree to stay together for the kids sake.

So....Cousins and his high cap number is something Denver can afford in terms of trade assets AND cap space....

Paton has a connection..and if you keep the coach....well....sounds plausible.

denver is Indy only indy has a QB that can make one or two plays a game either running or passing. a slight upgrade at QB produces a 9-6 record.

ne indy are using what Vic wants to do but those Ds are getting turnovers which Vic’s D is not doing.

Right NE model similar. Colts went with Wentz who has much higher upside, and NE got the young draft pick.

I like Paton, but we drew the short straw with TBW.
