  • 9 players guaranteed to kill it this season.

Summer is the season of hope in the NFL. Mandatory minicamps spawn chatter of veterans getting back on track, of youngsters taking a leap. With that in mind,

GUARANTEES nine particular players will improve in 2023. https://nfl.com/news/which-nfl-players-will-improve-in-23-dak-prescott-james-cook-kyle-pitts-among-gu?campaign=Twitter_atn

has Jerry Jeudy listed as the number 3 player! Of course.

people seem to act like Jeudy didn’t have 67 catches 927 yards and 6 touchdowns last year in a broken offense smh. With Sean Payton can you imagine what this elite talent is going to do? He cannot be covered one on one by ANYBODY because of his route running.

and idiots wanted to trade him? Lmao

Juedy has shown flashes and now it's time to become elite. 100 receptions for 1200 yards and 10 tds is on the horizon.

67 927 6tds is a bit more than flashes. Especially with a broken offense Hackett had going on

I feel like he flashed that more towards the end of the season, but I agree his years wasn't all that bad considering the offense stunk.

JJ was a man possessed at the end of the year. Up until then ehh.

If he can make a year like he did those last 4 games . Where all in for a nice surprise. That's if, he has a habit of not showing up so far.

And getting hurt/dinged up. You can clearly see he has the skill to be in the conversation with the top guys. He just hasn’t been consistent. Neither has the team though. Hoping for a big year from him.

Can't stand Adam Schein and no surprise he'd have Dak Prescott #1. Isn't Dak supposed to improve every year? Isn't Dak the reason Dallas is supposed to win the SB each year? Blah, blah, blah. I think Jeudy will have a much better year, because the team will have a much better year. I don't need Schein to tell me that.

In fairness, Russ was braindead locked onto Sutton for a good portion of the season. He was forcing a lot of balls to Sutton and missing Jeudy. Jeudy definitely stepped up in the last portion of the season though.

WRs have 3 types of powers.

                    1. Go up and get it ability to turn 50-50 balls into better odds. That's Patrick and Sutton's main powers.

                    2. Burner speed that can leave CBs in the dust. That's Mims & Hamler, and Virgil got speed too.

                    3. Quick feet or Twitch. This one is rare.
Only Jeudy has it on a level worth calling it a power. He can out dance anyone and leave the DB facing the wrong way. But the QB has to put it on him before the DB recovers from the move. The last part of the season Jeudy gave up on Wilson hitting him off his Twitch moves and started risking himself more by playing more like Sutton and Patrick. It is a mis-use of power to make him do that even if he looked good when he made it happen because Wilson wasn't hitting him on time or on target.

Imagine watching Fangio make Von Miller hesitate and let the opponents determine if he breaks off into coverage. Then seeing the Rams use him correctly by letting him be unleashed and they win the SB. Then you have to watch a generational Twitch WR who should be WR1 because his twitch beats anyone and that means all other WRs face lesser DBs... be forced to play like a Go up and get it WR and the tiny Speedster be sent as a crosser to be smashed. Then you imagined what happened. Because that was all real shit that happened.

Payton has a team with power that was being used incorrectly. If he can fix Wilson Wilson will start hitting Jeudy off his twitch on time and on target. Otherwise Wilson ain't fixed and his limitations are wasting Jeudy's prime years of his rare power.

Schien predicted teh Raiders would win the AFC West and the Chiefs would miss the playoffs. He tries to be a guy that sets himself appart from the crowd, but the vast majority of the crowd tried to zag away from KC last year and many wanted to annoint the Raiders to be different, they all just tried to be different at the same time. Rich Eisen was in this same boat.

The Broncos really could have used some extra draft picks and there were opportunuties to trade Jeudy. They chose to keep him, so expect big plans for Jeudy in this offense.

Simply put, Jeudy does not have that size – and a closer look at advanced data on his route tree (see Matt Harmon’s Reception Perception) reveals Jeudy is not as good on routes past eight yards, with most of his success coming on out-routes, flat-routes, and screen passes. Both Colston and Thomas made big plays for the Saints on corner, post, dig and curl/comeback routes – and these are routes that Juedy does not produce well on historically. However, Sutton is set up for success if Payton wants to use him in that role this season. Again, Jeudy could end up being the most productive receiver on this run-heavy team – but I’m not counting Sutton out because of what Payton did with Colston and Thomas.

Sean Payton likes to utilize big wide receivers in his offense, making a case for Courtland Sutton or Tim Patrick to be Denver's go-to guy

It's all about timing and how close to bullseye the QB can hit Jeudy.
if the QB hits Jeudy right after his break (requires timing from the QB to be on) then no one can shut down Jeudy.

If, however, we see the same lack of being able to target anything over the middle and Wilson only hits the edge of target zones and late like last year.. Jeudy will have to bash through like he's Patrick or Sutton.
If Wilson stinks out on his targeting and continues to be 0.3333~ seconds too late on noticing things then tries to catch up with arm power and forces balls to the edge of the target zone and late.... Then I want Sutton and Patrick and Dulcich and Mims out there the most. Save Jeudy to be amazing with a QB that can see over the line if that happens.

I'm hoping Stidham pulls a Geno Smith on Wilson. Because RW3 can't seem to hit Jeudy in ways that take advantage of his generational Twitch. And I don't like him being forced to play like he's Patrick. That's stupid.

Imagine if we had a QB that could hit Jeudy on time and on target right after he breaks a CB1's ankles on his break and leaves the fool in the dirty facing the wrong way... Safety would have to help that out. Then Sutton and everyone else would be on islands against CB2 and lesser.

Wilson's Hobbit ass better do much better this year or lead the tank.

I'm going to go ahead and say it. Everyone is missing the one key component that makes any receiver a great receiver. It's the "Want to." JJ does not have it. Granted, he has had terrible play in the past at the QB position. But the whiny, moaning, complaining attitude doesn't cut it. He's not good enough to tweet about how he needs to get the ball more. Calvin Johnson had the want to. He went after every ball. Calvin had Matt Stafford but Matt had no protection so a lot of his balls were just thrown to be thrown so he wouldnt be murdered. Calvin went after everything. If the ball isnt perfect for JJ, he's not going for it. He gator arms it. Then complains. He slows at the end of routes. He's shown flashes of being great. Those last 4 games were awesome. But he has to sustain that all season AND not get hurt. He has to want to.

I'm not saying he needs to be the go up and get it guy like Calvin. Just that he needs to go after the ball more. You can look back at film of games and see him in the short to intermediate routes and the lack of effort is apparent. If the ball isnt going to hit him square in the hands, he doesnt try. He keeps his arms tucked and then complains it wasnt right to him. Hell, if you want to compare him to someone better, Marvin Harrison was smaller and made more effort of getting to the ball than Jerry. Marvin went across the middle. Marvin was reaching. Jerry doesnt want to get hit. He will never be Calvin. Calvin is far and away better than Jeudy will ever be, but he can put more effort. That's what I'm referring to. The want to. The want to get the ball. The want to make the catch. The want to get the first down. The want to.

He kinda took over Sutton's role and bashed through the last four games with a fire though... So no man it was Wilson slow and blind hobbit only throws to two routes fault. Lock sucked at timing routes too and would also force the ball faster to try to make up for thinking too slow. And Bridgwater was the dump off dinker master. A QB that can get timing with Jeudy on his breaks would be able to pop him up to 1500 yards a season easy. That dude always gets open and our QBs never hit him on time.

I played CB. I could plan for Sutton and Patrick.
But Jeudy twitch leaves dudes looking the wrong way almost every damn play. The plan with him would be safety help if the QB can hit him on time. Because he leaves any DB stumbling on his breaks when he utilizes his twitch moves.

I will whole heartedly agree that he can be a star. You're missing the point. Making catches. Getting open. Getting in space where he can get the ball is what we all want/need from him all the time. He cant just want to do it the last 4 games of the year. I agree he's a timing receiver and can make CBs look dumb. He has great cuts. His body movement is like none other. But, not every drop back is going to be a clean pocket. The QB, whoever it may be beyond this year, is going to get hit, hurried, shoved, hands in the face. He has to fight for those balls all the time. The greats did that. They fought for the ball. That's what i want to consistently see from him. I think he can do it. But the excuse can't always be bad QB play. That's all I'm saying. I just want to see effort.

Did you even watch Jeudy last season or your dumb ass still stuck on his rookie and sophomore year!!67 catches 927 yards and 6 touchdowns in a fkn offense that didn’t even feature him! Once Wilson realized Jeudy was the one always open he started hitting jeAudy heavy and he was making ALL TYPES OF CATCHES CLOWN! You have no idea what your talking about Jessica your brain won’t allow you to move on from fkn 3 years ago lol.
