    Incoming running back signing?

The Broncos have to make five roster cuts this week to make room for their undrafted free agent signings. Martin was the first cut and he will likely be the most notable cut.

Instead of having roster cuts in waves like previous years, the NFL will have one massive 90-to-53 deadline day on Aug. 29 this summer.

I could never understand why they kept him on the roster given his contract status. It's basically free cap to cut him and it wasn't like he was jumping over the draft picks.

I think he figured that with them keeping him so far this off-season instead of cutting him early that he would go through camp to give others competition.

The Chiefs could use another edge rusher for training camp. I'd not be surprised if they see Jacob Martin as an interesting backup option that can get 4-5 sacks in the season.

It's about time. Hopefully they are using that money on Hunt or Zeke.

Maybe even a RB with a pulse.

Here's to hoping Incoom swoops in and steals this spot.

Or last year's super sleeper UDFA Christopher Allen.

Man, I'd really like Dalvin Cook. Probably too pricey though.

No to Zeke. Washed up and slow.

Both have room to make the team. Allen would be ideal since his talent level when fully healthy is a top 50 pick.
Edge has lots of bodies but only a few with potential and talent.

We way too young and deep and talented at OLB to keep a mediocre talent like Martin holding up reps for the youngins so this was expected

So does every Bronco the last 5-6 years...

Only surprise for me is they did it now. Martin is at least a proven rotational player so they will need Bonitto to step up. To me anything you get from him is a pleasant surprise.

If I had to bet on one player in that room it would probably be Browning based on the flashes + natural talent. Gregory is good but there’s no reason to believe he’ll play 12+ games.

So you know Nick Bonnito had one of the highest win rates right? We had 3 guys top ten

We would need Browning to take a Highsmith level leap and for Bonitto to become a 8 or better sack guy for this defense to maintain the elite level it was before the Chubb trade.

Bonitto's issue is functional play strength. He's just not good vs the run because he doesn't have the ability to physically anchor the edge, so he would be rendered as more of a pass rush specialist than anything else right now.

That's one of the things fans don't pay attention to with regards to young pass rushers. Fans wants sacks or the player sucks, one of the biggest developments from year 1 to year 2 to year 3 is the Edge getting better at playing the run game.

Got to add a RB. Even with Perine, I still think they should have kept Chase Edmonds [reworking his deal] and re-signed Latavius Murray. RB depth last offseason was Williams/Gordon/Boone, could have been Murray/Perine/Edmonds this offseason until we see Williams back and functional on the field.

Hell no. Literally 6 mil free and clear cap for a meh RB.. no reason to push money into the future right now.
