  • Bold predictions for the new guys

Marvin Mimms will produce more than Sutton and Patrick. It might take a couple of weeks for him to earn trust but by years end he has more yards and TDs than both.

Adam Troutman will be the starting TE. He knows the system from day 1 as Payton originally drafted him in the 3rd round and now traded for him.

Drew Sanders carves out a situational and ST role early but cracks the starting lineup before the end of the year.

Riley Moss starts at least 5 games this season and proves he can play CB in the league.

JL Skinner takes the starting job from Sterns and never looks back. I don't know why he fell to the 6th round but I'm glad he did. I saw a late 2nd early 3rd round type of player.

Alex Forsythe was coveted by Strief. Not sure if he displaces Cush this year or not but anything is possible.

UDFA that make the roster are looking like Incoom and McLaughlin.

Incoom will make Jacob Martin expendable and free up some cap space.

Mclaughlin was a Payton guy so he already has a leg up on the other guys fighting for that spot. He also offers ST ability as a returner and that will be a spot that has a lot of competition.

I expect Sanders to have the biggest impact of the defenders drafted. Skinner and Moss could become special teams studs.

The way Williams plays I king of think Moss will end up starting at least 3 games this year. Skinner will be in competition with Sterns and Locke at SS.

Those picks were a lot about getting depth at positions with players probably not expected to be back after this season or potentially guys that are traded post June 1st

    Mims will cure cancer.

    Sanders will cause cancer.

Moss will make black people and white people realize that we're really not so different, after all.

Skinner will make us all re-think behaviorism. But, are we really re-thinking it, or just acting on operant conditioning modalities? Oh God, are we all just robots without any free will? What is the point of anything, then? Better to never have existed than to just be a mindless automaton! AAAAAARRRGGHHH!!!!

Forsyth will be the answer to a pub quiz question that nobody gets correct.

McLaughlin, Jacobs, and Byrd are the foundation upon which the next major world religion will be built.

All 5 draft picks will start at some point in 2023 because of injuries at each position they play.

Not sure Forsythe gets a start year 1. I think backup plan at C is Fuller and next option would slide Meinerz over and put Bailey in at RG

yeah, the way injuries have gone for the broncos the last number of years I can see this happening.

Regarding Troutman, Dulcich flashed a lot of potential last year so it would be rather disappointing if he’s (referring to Dulcich) not the starter. In other words, I hope the OP is wrong about Troutman!

I have been pretty tuned out lately but I downloaded some Bronco pods to hear what was being said about the draft. The DNVR guys were acting like Dulcich could be a cut candidate. It is amazing to me some takes that people make.

LOL, you mean the guy that took over at TE for us? The one that has a ton of upside from what we saw in the few games he played?

Say what? He was the only bright spot on offense last year.

I just think from his comments about the TEs and the fact that Troutman was a guy that he drafted in NO I think he has a leg up. I do think that Dulcich is a better option personally though.

Dulcich was impressive for a Rookie TE...cutting him doesn't make any sense.

If Troutman wins the job it will be because he’s the better blocker or because Dulcich is injured. Because Dulcich is the better receiver by a wide margin.

Troutman sucks. Saints had big hopes for him and he just continued to disappoint. Dulcich has a WAY better chance of being our starting TE.

I hope I’m wrong but I think by the end of the season the best thing we’ll have to say about Troutman is that we only gave up the equivalent of a 7th for him.

Skinner taking the job from Sterns, barring injury, is absurd.

60% of the fanbase will eventually be able to spell Adam Trautman's name.

Trautman may very well start the season because he is trusted by Payton, knows the system, and is a pretty good blocker. But he has been a disappointment as a 3rd round choice & receiver, or he wouldn't have been available. What he will do is put pressure on Dulcich to stay healthy and learn to be at least an adequate blocker. I expect Dulcich to step up and be the eventual starter.

I expect Moss to be in the mix at CB. Williams gets dinged every year so no reason Moss can't be in nickel & dime packages, and then back up to Williams & Mathis.

Dave Logan implied the same yesterday.

Sometimes it can take TEs a minute to get going. Plus he didn't like the way he was being used in NO. This is a contract year for him and he's still only 26. It'd be cool if he had a breakout year but I'd settle for solid contributor.

Why though? Makes absolutely no sense. Cheap, young, upside, drafted in the 3rd round last year by the current GM. Not the type of player that gets cut. Ever. It’s ridiculous to even consider.
