Guy’s a total loser. “Gee, isn’t it cool that I’m from Colorado and play for the Broncos!” Yes Dalton, we heard you the first hundred times.

Man what a dissapointment he was. He looked like he was going to develope into a 10 plus year probowl type player after a good rookie year. He never got any better than year one and got worse. He just kept getting ink and playing the Fort Morgan(or whereever he was from out there maybe Brush) card. He would be good depth.

Yup, I’d be good with him coming back on a team friendly contract. But I’d think he’ll eventually get more than would make sense for the Broncos to pay.

He and Chush getting pushed into the backfield damn near every snap. Anyone that watch Broncos games consistently saw this. Didn’t even need actual game film. Thank god he’s gone!

Man, you live a sad life.

Risner seems like an amazing person, even if he’s a marginal football player. No reason to go attacking him, he’s creating his own future.

The Broncos didn’t sign him to a long term contract, and he moving along with his life - no need to be petty. He really seems to be an amazing person by giving his time and effort to others in need.

            get over it.

He’ll get a job after the draft. I wouldn’t hate it if he came back as a backup if they dont draft a guy.

Like him as a back-up lineman.

No too much hype from dumb ass broncos fans in year one while bashing the guy bolles his first few years into oblivion! Risner was able to hide behind the bashing of bolles for years

If we sign him for vet minimum and he's only the emergengy guy... That's better than my thoughts on nothingburger

All the broncos work in the community and give back! Number one team in the league for doing community service!!! And they still didn’t get respect of fans! So don’t go giving Risner special treatment for shit the entire team did! Yes even Wilson bolles Jeudy and everyone else you folks tend to hate

You're takes are from left field. Maybe whatever is past left field.

Risner deserves some special appreciation for his off the field work - he started his first charitable organization when he was still a kid in college, and its a bit different from what many players actually commit to. Why on earth do you talk about "not giving respect," then you throw shade at him? You're takes (and comprehension) are just bizarre. You literally created your own argument, then argued against it.

if a starter becomes a backup that hopefully mean two things

                      you upgraded the position
                      you upgraded depth

tough to uproot your family for a backup job if you can stay put and backup.

Does Denver even value him as a backup

Risner had a great rookie year and then never seemed to improve and progress. He's average to above average starter. He'll find a job eventually. A lot of players go deeper into FA now due to waiting on the right deals.

So was Risner a good draft pick by Elway? A four year average to slightly below average starter, that isn't too bad for where he was picked in top 1/3 of 2nd round. So I would say a quality draft pick. It saved the broncos from paying a FA vet for those four years at LG.

I wouldn't say he was a quality pick. He was a liability the for most of his play.

He picked Philip up and threw him into the end zone.I think everyone for a moment thought he had the right attitude after that move.

After that lineman started copying the move across the NFL

Lol how is it a solid pick when he’s been trash for 3 straight years?

as I said he was enough to start at a low salary that saved the broncos from paying a free agent more money. Most free agents end up sucking as well unless you pay a high price for the good ones.

Who cares? Kinda ok with the lineman having sucked because the QBs sucked. Can't truthfully judge unless a real QB gets a shot. And no that's not Wilson, he's gonna get fixed by Payton making him only play plays he's good at. That's a system QB that needs his system. Not a Bad ass real QB. So like who cares if we had a bust or not? Same losing record with good line play (Wilson had enough time and ignored wide open dudes a lot. Lock threw to them but late and on a rope always. No damn touch in that dude. Seimian been the best we had since Manning.)

Risner is probably doing the right thing. After not getting the deal he wanted during the 1st wave of FA, he is waiting until the draft is over to see which team will be the best fit and possibily offer a better deal based on need. Former Bronco Connor McGovern is in the same situation and he was a solid center for the Jets.
