  • Thanks Mock Draft organizers!

This is the second time I have participated in one of these mocks. I remember how shocked I was last year about how much organization and effort went into putting one of these on. I'm way over my head and feel overwhelmed just picking for a team - I can't imagine actually organizing and managing it, as well. Thanks for all you do to make it happen, JCMElway, Old Dude, jebures, and BowlenBall! (I hope I'm not missing anyone.)

Also, I have added a category for previous mock draft results. I left redirects for all the threads that were moved - those will stay up for a month. If you are looking for anything from 2022, it's in a separate category within the NFL Draft subforum.

    Here, here.

yes, thanks to the ones that put this together, and a special thanks to everyone who manages to make their pick in less than 12 hours (cough, cough).

Agree, thank you. I start to feel overwhelmed just thinking about the draft list, the trades, putting up with some of us idiots. I'm thankful I just have the task of picking a player, as overwhelming as that can get. Praise be to you guys for providing us some great entertainment.

Thanks to Wild Cody and all you fun friends for making this annual tradition successful. We still have many rounds to go. This means more memories.

It might be apt for us to make an actual trophy for the winner of this event. We could also engrave the past winners of each year. A traveling trophy. I would be down to throw down on this and make that happen if people are interested.

Not sure if anyone ever thought of that idea. I think it could be cool.

It's good to be back after being just an improvised pinch drafter [and screwing the Broncos] last year.

I'd be willing to contribute to the trophy.

It wasn't just Kyler...It was a combination of things. Especially his stance on bigger WR's still going high in the draft when the NFL was moving towards Tyreek Hill style guys according to him.
His idea that the NFL should have been moving towards certain traits and they were not threw him all the way off.

I send him a text when we start picking every year before our Mock. Always leaves me on read. He is still salty.

The law is logic and manipulating the wording to fit your narrative. He can argue up and down and make his point as a lawyer. You can't do that as a drafter because 32 teams see prospects differently. For him, he was going in and studying tape and doing all of these things and then for the guy(Me)who supposedly doesn't do any tape study or know what he is talking about to be right 95% of the time when debating him and then it being proven in the real life draft. That hurts the ego.

This year, I am participating for the first time, in a Bills board mock draft and a Jets board mock draft. having now experienced both of these, I wanted to let you guys know that this one here, really stands apart. Having separate threads for trades, selections and discussion isn't something the others do. It's all one big mess in one thread. There isn't an alpha list for easy reference. And the quality of the participants just isn't on par with the drafters here. The quality and depth of discussion is without peer. The Bills draft is only 3 rounds...I asked why they don't just do all 7...the response was it would only be done a short time before the real draft and rounds 4-7 are guys no one knows......so, if your preference is to care about 1-3 you can still do that while things continue 4-7....and you learn more about the guys "no one has heard off" But whatever. The Jets draft, the organizer has a spreadsheet linked on googles docs that contains the draft, players available....AND ....a ranking list. and UGH....these guys are pretty much sticking to that list. Chat GPT could do this draft because it's a bunch of dudes just deviating a few picks forward or back from that ranking list. No original thought, no deviation, etc...it's not cool. No good discussion etc. On top of that. NO ONE does a scoring system or UDFA. This is the best there is. Thanks again.
