  • NFL Covid? How is this possible?

    But….but…the vaccine…
The NFL postponed three games over a Covid surge. 95% of NFL players and over 99% of coaches and staff are fully vaccinated against Covid. More than 100 vaccinated NFL players have tested positive for Covid in the past week. Two games were moved to Monday and one game was moved to Tuesday. New Week…

Last year they didn’t even have a vaccine and managed better.

Last year, humans were not dealing with so many virus variants that we're running out of the Greek alphabet to name them. We have all these variants because some people refuse to be vaccinated. That demographic (apparently including you) are cheerleading for the survival of the coronavirus. *golf clap*

This is not true. It’s what the vaccine cheerleaders are saying. If someone has had Covid, your immunity is far better then the shot. But, no $ to be made there.

If the vaccine worked, the NFL would be a model of health. Instead, we see it doesn’t work.

If the vaccine did not work -- and/or if covid was a "hoax" -- the wealthy and powerful wouldn't have made sure they were the first to receive vaccines.

We're not defeating the virus because a significant portion of the population acts like they're working in the best interests of the survival of the virus. If there's anything they can do to help the virus survive and mutate, they're gladly doing that. After "omicron" variant, there will be another -- and another -- and another. And eventually the virus may mutate to where the current vaccines become ineffective. Hopefully science can play catch-up and minimize the unnecessary, preventable deaths.

Vaccines are doing exactly what they are designed to do. Preventing people from getting serious sick and dying. The data shows if you are fully vaccinated there is less than 1% chance you will end up in the ICU or and less tan .001 of dying.

Most of the NFL COVID case the players/coaches are asymptotic or have slight cold symptoms. Their regular testing and case tracking is right response, and we were doing more of it.

Also it should be noted that Delta/Omicro is reinfecting people that Covid before and natural immunity isn't helping.

I've read several articles that said that too -- that natural immunity isn't as effective at preventing infection from the omicron variant as it was with other variants.

                            Many experts disagree.

Early this year, vaccine expert Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche published an open letter calling on the World Health Organization (WHO) to immediately halt all COVID-19 mass vaccinations. He said that mass vaccinations could lead to the emergence of more dangerous forms of the virus.

Vanden Bossche said that mass vaccination drives are “likely to further enhance adaptive immune escape as none of the current vaccines will prevent replication or transmission of viral variants.” (Related: Scientists: Mass vaccinations will not stop COVID-19 transmission, herd immunity not achievable.)

Immune escape is a term used to describe when the host can no longer recognize and counter a pathogen, such as a variant or mutant of SARS-CoV-2.

“The more we use these vaccines for immunizing people in the midst of a pandemic, the more infectious the virus will become,” Vanden Bossche wrote. “With increasing infectiousness comes an increased likelihood of viral resistance to the vaccines.”

Under this scenario, manufacturers will be forced to refine or improve the vaccines, which will then increase the selection pressure.

Selection pressure is a term used to describe the process that helps an organism or pathogen to evolve in ways that make it better adapted to its changing environment. An antibiotic resistance, which is caused by overuse of antibiotic drugs, is a good example of selection pressure.

The virus will effectively outsmart the highly specific antigen-based vaccines that are being used and tweaked. Vanden Bossche said the multiple emerging, much more infectious viral variants are already examples of immune escape from innate immunity.

He’s been right on all accounts so far.

A report released by a group of 57 leading scientists, doctors and policy experts questioned the safety and efficacy of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines and demanded for the immediate cancellation of mass vaccinations. "Despite calls for caution, the risks of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination

Omicron variant is new, Shellback -- so "many experts" have not yet dealt with -- or studied -- the omicron variant. It will bring new data and new understanding of the virus as science studies it.

There are only 5 dog food companies that 1) Have their own QA/QC laboratory and 2) Perform actual feeding trials. Purina, Science Diet, Eukanuba, Royal Canine, and Canidae. Of the 5, Purina Pro Plan Sport 30/20 is the best formulation for active hunting/trailing dogs. Most top breeders feed it.

And this continues to be your problem. You have a thimble full of knowledge, don’t understand science, and yet ALWAYS have an answer (that’s usually wrong)!

If it’s new we should proceed slowly and with caution. Not what we are observing.
