If Williams is back and Edmunds is going to stick for another year....sounds like Denver probably won't be a big player in FA or draft at RB.....Tyler Badie is under contract also...I would guess he has a shot to make the 53 man roster.

RB's like Badie absolutely have to be an effective target in the passing game or they won't see the field, and he seems to be. He can run inside by taking advantage of quick gaps and he has the tools to do that. Of course he can run outside. It's a very good sign that his first real play was a TD reception.

Hopefully he re-signs quickly and we move on to bolstering the OL.

WOWZA. Payton tells the media that Vic was part of the plan until "you guys scared him off" (inferring the media in general). I like Sean's candor and hope this attitude moves forward to camps and practice. He's definitely not blowing smoke, he's going to take this job head on.

Is it "interesting" Paton wore a D logo during his presser?

Paton and Co. can hopeful that Williams is ready, but they absolutely can't bank on him being ready to start the season. They are absolutely going to get another running back.

I don't mind Patricia in a senior assistant role where he's kind of removed from the players.

It won't be this number. Edmonds told the Denver media some time ago that he's aware that he will have to restructure his contract to stay.

Chase Edmonds would like to stay with the Broncos in 2023, and he knows the team will likely ask him to restructure his contract.

“I’m looking at it realistically,” Edmonds said, via Parker Garbiel of The Denver Post. “They’re probably going to ask me to restructure. I love the guys in the locker room. Love playing with Russ. … Just has to make sense for both sides.”

He was carrying too much mass last season. It almost seems as if he was trying to bulk up and it bit him in the ass.

He needed to cultivate that mass.

Maybe Ciara is a good cook? I’m sure that why Russ married her, not dat ass.

I thought Payton had a good point for the media today.

where was all this “Russ wanted Pete fired “ last September? only when you lose and have adversity does the media swarm to find any dirt.

I hope they don’t go overboard with Singleton. He’s fine but he’s limited. He led the Eagles in tackles the two years prior to joining the Broncos and they couldn’t wait to get rid of him.

Eagles don't like signing ILB's to large deals. They prefer to rotate them out as their contracts expire. They focus on the DL and DB's.
With that said, I agree. Re-sign him sure, but we also need more talent at that position.
