Mock draft 1.0 Pre Free agency. This one includes trades for QB's
Lamar to Atlanta
Aaron Rodgers to Jets.
Some notes about it. I don't think this is a good draft class overall so picking outside the top 10 sucks. Once the QB's go, there won't be anyone trading into the first round, and unlike years past, I don't thin there will be much action to move up for non QB's in the last half of rd 1.
Some pick explanations:
Giants at 25 going TE Dalton Kincaid. I think one of the few teams who will be looking to make a move up a few picks will be the Giants. I didn't pull the trigger in this mock, but I think they'll be looking for a place to jump ahead of Baltimore and the Chargers...both of whom I think will be looking at WR's. The Giants would like one of Flowers or Addison but they also need a TE.
Cowboys at 26 going Bijan Robinson. Elliot is washed and expensive and Pollard is now damaged goods....and will be expensive. The Cowboys value RB higher than most teams and in a weak draft, even this one that is strong at RB....there just isn't a talent with a higher grade than Robinson....added bonus that he's a longhorn. Any team that might want him (perhaps the Bills) will need to jump ahead of Dallas.
Pick 31.....I had KC stay put in this mock. Don't like what's available at 31. If KC were to take a CB here, it would make a LaJarious Sneed trade more palpable. KC does have alot of ammo and I think they might contemplate a move up for perhaps Flowers, or Kancey.....MAYBE if Johnston fell far enough, they'd try and go up to 15 or so (I doubt it highly that he falls that far and/or KC moves up that far) Preferred move would be trade out, but there won't be a partner here unless some team gets an itch for Hendon Hooker. I don't see it as of today.
