The more I thought about it, the more that bringing Vic back just one year removed from being Head Coach in a relatively disastrous tenure - the more I kept asking "wut da fuk?" I think he will do great in Miami and have them fighting for the AFC East right away.
Good luck to Vic, no hard feelings, but this team needs to move forward. Evero is fine, he hasn't burned any bridges and everyone loves him. I assume Evero will take another job and we'll be looking again, but Payton should be pretty persuasive in recruiting coaching talent.

It's almost like we were in it with him until late in the game. But in the end, we just couldn't stop him from going somewhere else.
Like, the whole time, I felt pretty good about it. "We've got this," I thought. "It might end up being a close thing. But I feel pretty confident that he's going to ultimately end up here. We're going to win this thing."
But then, right at the end, it's like we didn't have enough to ultimately close the deal. In the end, the Dolphins just had more than we could offer.

have fun watching this Defense erode to an indiscriminate unit while Sean the wonder boy whittles away on offense…
team goes nowhere without draft picks.
‘’but oh well. When you admit as an organization that you suck at drafting then…**** them picks..

Dolphins fans will understand it a year from now.
With that said, if Miami can stay healthy, he should do well given their offensive potential.

The first 1-2 years of Lynch's reign in San Fran and they wanted him gone. He got into a groove, they drafted guys that fit when Kyle needed and it's blossomsed.
Look at Philly, they blew the Reagor pick and still have drafted well enough to be able to flip picks for Brown and overcome that blunder. They have a 1st pick at LT sitting as a 2nd string LT and they still have not let it impact them.
You have to be able to hit on picks and off-set your weaknesses in FA.
That is one reason why, for as much grief as Paton deserves over his moves. He has produced in the draft pretty damn well. The only thing I question is not investing heavily in the OL with premium pick capital.

Surely Payton will have plenty to say about our picks, but my memory seems that he can find serious diamonds in the rough.

He felt bad for the injuries at CB under Fangio so he signed Darby, Fuller and drafted Surtain. But no real upgrades along the OL. You want Hackett to succeed so you grab Wilson at QB. But you don't significantly upgrade the OL.
I think we will see a massive invest in the OL in FA and a bit more in the draft and I also believe we are going to see a further investment in the RB corps and possibly the TE room as well.

WR, RB all need work, but the oline and keeping the defense good should be the focus of this yr. The two 3rd round picks are good spots to grab OG and C. I don't watch enough college to know, but maybe there are some guys we can look at. If feel like OT takes a bit more talent and we may need a trade or FA for that.

The sweet spot for G and C will be in the 3rd and 4th rounds. You can pick up a starter there. There are some guys who will be available at OT in those rounds as well but that's "We like this guy and want to develop him behind Bolles" type of draft pick. You don't take them to start them unless you have one hell of a OL coach.

Do you even listen to yourself?
you are truly a miserable person and I will always fail to understand why you post on a Broncos fan site. This isn’t good for you.
