            Finally, it sucks to give up the draft picks, whatever that will be, but we have a good coach that the players will respect from day one.

                        Fangio is probably going to work with Kyle Shanahan in SF - mutual admiration, served as a consultant - or accept that Dolphins job that was nearly confirmed.

                                                Welp, was my second choice. Not crazy about the picks but at least we have a coach of some renown. Now all he has to do is live up to it.

                                                                                  I'd like to thank Bradley Chubb for his sacrifice. Denver didn't have many picks because of the terrible Russell Wilson trade, but we used the first for him to trade for a coach.

                                                                                      And Chubb most likely wasn't worth a number 1. He is a great player but is often injured and isn't among the leagues top 10 pass rushers IMO.

                                                                                          very likely the case, though it sounded like Ryans was ahead of Payton. Probably have had the Payton trade worked out as the plan C, which is why we didn't interview anyone else

                                                                                                      We basically gave away a late first round pick... which Denver has not had a great hit rate on in the first place. Well worth the draft pick if he can slap some sense into this team.

                                                                                                      Congrats to the Broncos ownership group for getting the big name they were hoping for, also a HC with experience and previous success. The draft compensation hurts and I'm skeptical of Payton's interest in being the Broncos' HC long term with Mahomes and the Chiefs dominating the division. He can easily retire again and go back to TV if he can't put a competitive team on the field quickly.

                                                                                                          So basically two 2nd round picks (this years pick is almost 2nd round). Neither one of those picks would make as much of a difference as SP will.
