    Zimmer likely to be fired.

    Vic retained? Who knows.

Shurmur should be fired regardless. Klint could replace. Maybe a future head coach.

How many Minnesota Vikings games have you watched this year to comb over Klint Kubiak's body of work as a first-year OC and play-caller to have an educated opinion on the matter?

It's a valid question. If you want to discuss the merits of bringing in Klint Kubiak to Denver as an OC, I'd expect you to at least have some modicum of familiarity with his work. Right?

Justin Jefferson, who has quickly proven himself as of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL, has just five catches during this frustrating two-game losing streak for the Vikings since their bye week.

I thought it was fair to ask considering nothing outside the "possibilities" of him coming were mentioned.

It's probably unfair Klint Kubiak is getting canned, but the Vikings are on the verge of an entire purge and reboot. That team's DL has been getting it's ass kicked routinely and gutted in the run game. But they've lost some players on that side of the ball too.

Quite similar to Denver's situation. It's eerie how a lot of both teams misfortunes have mirrored each other over the years. It's always been a blast seeing the Vikings play most early games, only to rally it up with the bed shittin' Broncos on the afternoon slates. The FOX/CBS dichotomy!

Their passing offensive performance outside of third downs has been good, but it's a problem when drives stall. Everyone here knows what that feels like watching Denver play. They don't run the ball well consistently and the OL getting pretty beat up in the trenches.

Kubiak's got a really weird obsession with starting drives routinely with two runs and putting them in third and long situations. I can't imagine where he got that from, and I know they have Dalvin Cook, but it's entirely too predictable. Doesn't help when you are calling hitch and comeback routes short of the sticks when you need 10 yards and those go for eight. Could chalk that up to it being his first-year calling plays, but I'd hope for a bit better situational awareness than what he has shown.

Despite that, MN's RZ performance from Kirk has been stellar. He is really spreading the ball around. Jefferson and Thielen's target share is fine. Those guys are getting a ton of looks. Conklin and Obsourne have stepped their game up and become more involved this year.

Bringing in a guy like Kubiak likely means you need an established QB to get the job done because there isn't any track record of him developing anyone. It would hypothetically entertain the scenario of Cousins popping up on Denver's radar. I really doubt Minnesota want to pays him $45M dollars next season, so it's a certainty he is shopped around.

Kubiak's hire would indicate a switch to a dominant outside/wide zone rushing scheme. Doing so would result in the Broncos would likely end up having to replace more lineman than necessary. I also don't think it would be the best rushing system for Javonte Williams and it's not an area the team has excelled in this year.

Not sure how appealing of a prospect that is for the board. Most fans would probably go nutty and start spewing "Paton's harvesting the Vikings! He's a plant!" type narrative against General George. At the very least, it would make for some entertainment!

                          .

Since Minn will be having mass firings it’s safe to say Paton is going to bring in multiple coaches from that team.

he even brought in their trash QB they drafted.

That's an awfully large net for Paton to cast from Denver to Minneapolis. I can't even calculate the square mileage that covers.

Exactly what I’m thinking. Minnesota connection. Could see both Kubiak & Cousins here next year.

You can see Teddy is the favored ‘son’ of the staff.

the 2 worst positions are QB and OC…even though Shurmur was already here He still has the Vikings connection to Paton…which IMO is one of the many reasons Paton took the job. Safe and comfortable > unknown to 1st time GMs….

This doesn’t happen if Vikings were not going to fire that entire staff at years end….those are close friends to Paton…alot of his friends and connections will be looking for jobs. want to know some names on the staff next year? At least one of these :

                                        Very Fair Question!

Honestly I don't know a thing about the Vikings, other than I have a buddy in who lives in Eden Prairie whom I text and talk shit to when they lose.

I guess I don't care is Paton brings in who he knows, as long as it makes the roster better. Beane and McDermott have a connection to Carolina obviously, so made sense they brought in some guys they knew.

Cousins has a Rivers feel. Solid player, but just can't seem to win a big game when needed.... but I could see Cousins here, give we have a need and the resources to do so.

I find it hard to believe that Paton would seriously consider Zimmer or Klint Kubiak for HC, and Klint as an OC would be the choice of either Fangio or a new coach, not Paton. Some on this Board act like the only acquisitions this year came from Minny; I can think of only 3, but maybe I'm forgetting someone. Weathereby (sp?) had a good game against SD, and Boone showed some potential last Sunday that maybe he could be a pretty good replacement for Gordon next year. And the chick that is in the FO-- I forgot her name --but so what?
                                            Anyone else?

BTW, my comment is not just because of this thread, I have seen the alleged Vikings coaches to Denver on other threads also.

Only coach I’d bring in is Zimmer. As Defensive Coordinator. Only coach I’d keep is Munchak.
