In the Bills-Pats game tonight, Mac Jones threw just 3 passes all game, connecting on 2 for 19 yds, and won the game 14-10. Of course, he would get the exact same results if he was on the Broncos and coached by Pat Shurmur!

The Bills were so scared of Mac Jones that they essentially conceded the running game to prevent him from throwing more passes in this windy game. It had absolutely nothing to do with the OL, RB’s, OC, and brilliant defense coached by a HOF coach. It was solely because of Mac Jones.

You guys can laugh at the thread and make stupid memes about it, but at least go_broncos still has a passion for winning, he hasn’t became content with losing.

He’s not wrong, this team isn’t going to win crap with clowns like Teddy B, and anybody who thinks they will is delusional. It’s frustrating watching this team make the same mistakes year after year, even with a new GM.

You might disagree on Jones or Fields, but whatever, that’s not really the point. At least they would’ve been trying to upgrade the position, going into the year with Teddy and Lock was a death sentence.

or Why doesn't Patton just order Vic to change the game plan to throw it 3 times like BB did with Mac Jones. Then you eliminate QB from the equation. Everyone is happy.

Thanks, B-Large! Didn't want to bust out the MacAir and Photoshop something better, so I used the Chromebook and did PIXLR within the browser. Not too shabby for 3 minutes!

This version of the Broncos reminds me of the Dick Jauron tenure in Buffalo. Good/ Solid Defense, Offense every years with a back-up caliber QB, many seasons at 7 wins.

Safe football that ALWAYS led to neither winning anything of substance, nor losing too badly.

Not a coincidence Ralph Wilson was senile and living in Detroit as that chirade went on for years....

Who knows what will happen, Fields has had some impressive plays. That offense is a disaster though, even a vet in Andy Dalton has looked just as bad.

We won’t for sure know for years what Jones or Fields are going to be, plus it’s pure speculation what they would’ve done here.

The whole point is that the Broncos haven’t even tried to improve the QB position, yeah you might strike out, but at least take a swing.

Really?? They rolled into the season with the 2 worst starting QBs in the league last year. They found the one guy as bad as Drew Lock and threw him on the roster. They’re complete morons if they actually thought they improved

I think we tried really hard to prep for Aaron Dodgers, but that didn't materialize. Probably were going to take a good shot at Deshaun Watson before all the sex stuff happened. What other free agent options were available that have performed better than Teddy? I'm not sure we even have the full story on whether we tried to trade Teddy to the Saints before he deadline (maybe?).

Paton accomplished a lot, and it looks like he knocked this draft out of the park. That's a lot to accomplish in one year. Even the mid season trades have been pretty brilliant. Rebuild our LB corps, done. Move on from Von's salary and clear up the position for our young guys, done. Find amazing depth at RB, O-line, DBs - done. This roster, staff, and salary cap are looking amazing for a first year GM. You have to give this 2-3 years to really see Paton's plan unfold, 1,000% unfair to think he could take a team with a five year playoff drought and fix every issue in one season, just extraordinarily unrealistic.

Fangio is likely gone. Teddy is likely gone. Shurmur is likely gone.

Then, finally then, do you get to judge Paton on what he's building. Everything else has been an A++++++

Paton is good.
He listened to his coaches and asked if they wanted a QB or Surtain. When no one spoke up, he asked again if Surtain should be the pick. All agreed. Surtain is a possible generational player that looks like a vet as a rookie. If anyone should be blamed for not wanting Mac Jones, it should be everyone. No one wanted him or Feilds. They all knew both would fail to make this year better in Shurmer's system.

When we get Rodgers. It will be hailed as all the right moves.

I personally have no issues with Paton, at this point. For one thing, his first draft looks great. But also, I'm spending so much energy pissed off at Shurmer and his merry band of idiots, I don't have the bandwidth to get worked up about other things. If we could just get Shurmer and McMahon out, I could start focusing my hate on other people.
