harbaugh's pushing 60 with and a huge pain in the ass looking for a payday. his best days are behind him. you guys fall for this shit every time. last year it was calling hackett a offensive genius.
mcdaniel, ryans. the kid from dallas is interesting the more experience he gets. a year from now one of these teams is going to have the best young hire and we're going to be dissapointed with harbaugh's tired act.

you say 59 is old in coach years? 10+ years at least. Some of these posters gonna die of old age before Jim is done coaching. Hell John Harbaugh is older than him. Guess he shouldn’t be an HC then….
Last year I wanted O’Connell.
who did you want last year? Who do you want now?
I watched Jim turn around my Cardinal…..and I know it can happen here too. He turned around Stanford…..SF…..Michigan…..Broncos would be no different.Last edited by The1percentKid; 01-07-2023, 10:55 PM.

i want Adam Peters to make the decision. Paton has no business being in the FO anymore.

Yeah, this is a loaded question and it really DOES depend on the coordinators for me.
without knowing coordinators, I think I trust Harbaugh to bring in all the pieces and establish a strong culture.
I’d like Quinn if he brings in a “new Shanahan” type of offensive whiz kid with him.
id like Payton if he can bring a legit defensive coordinator with him (or keep Evero).

Also, I’m surprised to see that nobody puts Steichen on their lists. Why guys like Evero, Ryans, and Gannon over Steichen?

My #1 HC is Evero. I think he deserves a chance, so why not in Denver where he can provide continuity on one side of the ball? He seems to have what it takes to handle the tough situation ahead with Wilson's cap hit and performance dragging the franchise down. I'm aware he won't get the job, but I'd go with Evero.
I think both Harbaugh and Payton will provide more flash than actual results. Harbaugh will look like a weirdo if he leaves Michigan after the commitment he shared on social media, zero credibility. I can't see him as a long-term answer. Payton left the Saints for no solid reason - because he lost his franchise QB? - and a team in dire need of talent can't surrender the picks that are being asked. Payton is coming from 7 failed trips to the playoffs and had that streak of 7-9 records in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

I think you guys are underestimating the Wal Mart groups main objective here. The number one question they will ask ALL these guys is "how would you go about getting good production from Wilson? They aren't moving on from Russ this offseason. They can afford it, but do you think these poeple are even remotely OK with writing off a huge loss on the Russ trade and contract? No! They want to see if he can be salvaged.
You can want Harbaugh all you want....but I do not think his answer will satisfy these folks because Harbaugh's answer won't be about Wilson specifically, but rather, installing his system, discipline, etc. His system wins....has nothing to do with players. That aint cutting it.
Payton is going to make a great case about what he did with Brees, a short QB, who he got great production out of, on into QB old age.

working with Russ is not the #1 trait they are looking for

^ Evero? He wouldn’t take the interim position, why would he take the actual position? And for that matter, why would you offer it to him?
As for Harbaugh looking like a weirdo for backing out on a “commitment”, other than maybe some Michigan fans nobody is going to remember or care.
Agree on the question marks/concerns about Payton.
