Something to watch, could be a nice candidate for OC in Denver under a quality HC or even be a HC candidate.

McDaniel reminds me that young OCs have for several years been the hottest 1st-time head coach hires in the League. Of course that doesn't lessen the culpability of Paton in hisring Hackett, a guy who's entire makeup and personality were wrong for head coaching duties ... kinda like Paxton Lynch - why didn't anybody notice?
Young 1st-time HCs who came from OC positions are kinda taking over (BOLD Shanahan coaching tree):
.* Shanahan (made SB)
..McVay - (won SB)
* Lafleur
* Sirianni
* McDaniel
* O'Connell
* Daboll
* Zac Taylor - (made SB)
.
* These 4 are current Top 6 SB favorites
* These 3 are borderline playoff contenders w/ 1 game left

He’s proven himself to be a damn good Head Coach.
He’s not going back to being a OC.
If he becomes available, he should be #1 on our list for HC.

McDaniel is pretty overrated IMO. He was hired because of his run game guru strategy. How has the offense and run game been in Miami? Its been good when the 2 WR just plain beat people off of skill and if Tua can find them unprepared. If you can replace him with Harbaugh you do. Brady Harbaugh and owner are all Michigan guys. I'm surprised nobody has put that together. Harghbaugh was going to Miami or 9ers when he took his first NFL gig.

He absolutely is overrated. Intelligence doesn't mean you are a smart coach. I'll wait for you guys to tell me what he has done that has been so great. I said I am not that impressed by the way he coaches. Need to see alot more. Turn on the Steeler Miami game and tell me what a great coach he is? Oh what are they on a 5 or 6 game slide? You don't think teams know exactly how Miami is calling a game? This board overrates local guys and Shanahan guys so bad. Aka Homer.

You guys say I dont know what I'm talking about but yet have yet to give an example of how great he is. I have not seen this great mastermind you guys speak of. I am not wrong that you guys love love local story and anything tied to Shanahan.

Cuz I am hyper focused on getting Brian Schottenheimer back with Russ. If Russ is fixable, Shottie's the one who can do it.
And if he does bring in a talented OC that is "Russ compatible", we'll be arguing about whats going to happen, or what happened, in the playoffs rather than whether or not we ever win a game again. At this point, I'll take that argument any day of the week to what the hell has been going on this year.
