They're big spiders, rather like a banana spider -- there's a thread about them here in off-topics (the linked article has pictures too). Georgians were saying they've become pretty problematic.

Georgia is experiencing an invasion of very large spiders --- three inches across with legs extended -- holy shit. https://s.yimg.com/ny/api/res/1.2/7UiD.SaHA.kzuP1DSn4G1A--/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjt3PTM0O2g9NDA-/https://s.yimg.com/os/creatr-uploaded-images/2020-12/9b2f0f90-355f-11eb-bef3-afd1c608253f (http://www.ap.org/)

So they look like Golden Orb weavers. At least they aren’t aggressive or poisonous, but if I walked into one I would turn into a screaming bitch of a human tornado.

I most assuredly would too. I don't even like barn spiders (the round ones that hang from the eaves) -- we have lots of those in our area.
