in order to be fixed you have to be broken. They are saying he’s broken.
if this were 4 years ago Mike Shanahan checks every box Penner is looking for.
CEO type, winning culture, offensive identity, up and coming offensive staff members , defense in place
Joe Ellis was the first to screw this franchise

Just going to be providing scouting reports, delivering the pizzas and grabbing coffee for the real shot callers or be sent packing if the next HC wants his own guys.

First of all you don't trade for a QB and give that much money and say "He is fixable".
These type of words you use for a rookie QB.
Owners are agreeing that Mr.Unlimited has flaws. I can predict the future.
Next coach will try to "FIX" him and the team will give up on him. after next season, he will be cut.
Paton(if not fired by then) will be fired after next season.
Hoping that Sean Payton agrees to coach and we can fire Paton now itself.

Worst case scenario is that Russ is "fixed" enough for 8 wins and the cycle of turds continues through 2024. I really think Papa Walmart is keeping Paton around while he attempts to leverage a big name coach like Harabaugh or Payton. Meanwhile Paton continues to do all of the day to day draft nerd prep work. If Walton-Penner is able to secure a top tier coaching candidate it will be because they gave him a **** ton of cash and the GM hire. If that happens Paton is getting let go in late April/early May.

Everyone around the league including Wilson’s own last team knows he can’t be fixed.
yet Paton is the only one who thinks he can.
this is literally what a bottom gutterball sports team looks like and is run.
this is just like McDaniels being the only one who thought Tebow could be fixed.
the entire roster is trash. And that’s all Paton.
His FA choices suck. His draft picks suck.
let’s keep him though.Last edited by The1percentKid; 12-27-2022, 05:11 PM.

the new HC may be a CEO type. That’s a Payton or Harbaugh.
Paton will quit or serve as a #2 but Penner is not stupid to just pay someone to go away who has valuable skills around the draft and scouting.
if Paton wants to quit they owe him nothing.
i find it disingenuous and funny as hell for some of the loudest Paton haters to praise him in back April for the trade and push for an extension back then.
even the seattle trolls use the term “maybe Russ will win big in Denver” not really knowing for sure after 10 years how Russ will perform in Denver

He’s been relegated to an Xanders GM. Getting Penner coffee and those TPS reports (office space reference).
