    The Trade to get rid of Russ

    Wash is going to have to eithier tag or give Chase Young a massive deal after the season.

    Take advantage of this. Try to offload Russ to Wash for Young if DC has doubts about paying. Give up Justin Simmons and Jeudy if you have to. That is how you get out of this. Otherwise. Enjoy sucking for next two decades.

      Or....you can just roll with Hieneke for a million bucks and go 8-9 or so again....while looking for a better QB.

      there is NO WAY OUT of this.

      The Jets wouldn't even swap you their crappy Wilson for yours at this point. At least theirs is on a cheap rookie deal.

      You are stuck with him at his crappy salary, or you are stuck with his massive dead money hits. You. are. stuck.

      There is only one way out and that is simply that Russ has to play better.

                  Moth ball him in 23. Cheaper then dead cap move post June. Start young QB til we get QBOTF and move on from Russ in 24.

                                                              This is the only way to dig us out of the rut quickly. If we could suck enough to get Caleb in 24 and he lives up to the hype then it’s not a huge set back. Otherwise we are the browns for a decade

                                                                  What's the chances Hendon Hooker falls in the draft because of the ACL injury.

                                                                  ​​​​​​If he's healthy I think he's the 3rd QB off the board. But the ACL injury might push him down behind Levis and Richardson. If we could trade down to the 2nd round and he's still there I wouldn't be mad at that pick at all.

                                                                  He can sit and get healthy a year then take over in 2024, the only downside to that is that he'll be 26 by then.

                                                                      There's a bunch of guys that would be instant upgrades. But they all are not as good as Caleb Williams. Can't let him go to the Raiders (since they will suck too. Hahaha)

                                                                          Hooker or McKee would be ideal for the Broncos to draft and sit.

                                                                              Russ isn't getting "fixed". He also isn’t getting cut in 23-24. At this point, we have to hope Hackett and Paton get fired and the new coach/gm has the authority to deactivate Russ next year. I'd draft a QB with one of the 3rds, bring in a journeyman FA and keep Russ in street clothes until you can leverage the cap to cut him in 25.

                                                                                      Reality is Hackett sucks as a head coach, but he's been scheming people open fairly consistently. Russ is just completely broken as a QB. No coach is fixing him. Hopefully the next coach brought in will have the authority and clout to just shut him down and end the fantasy that he's suddenly going to revert back to a quality player. He's done.

                                                                                          he's the same dude. he always wanted to prove he was a pocket passer but pete could reign him in and made sure he had a running game so he wasnt forced to throw check downs and over the middle, in particular against cover 2. we just have an idiot organization that didn't understand what he was and what he could and couldn't do.

                                                                                              Id offer Wash, Wilson, Simmons, Jeudy and a 3rd round pick for Chase Young. If that didnt do it, id move up to 2nd round pick and add in the new rookie TE.
