Stink was given an assignment yesterday by Mike Evans to watch the all-22 and focus on Jeudy, and try to determine why he had such a good game. He said because of the injury to Sutton, Jeudy was forced into Sutton's x position, so he would be the focus of the offense. Jeudy has apparently been at the slot most of the time previously.
Anyway, it was a success as he seemed to be interested and in-the-zone for most of the game. There is no doubt that he is the most talented receiver we have on the team, but it just doesn't show every game. Is Jeudy just one of those guys that has to be the focus of every game, or he pouts and doesn't give it his all? IDK, but this guy has the tools, so the coaching staff has to get him the ball, as Sutton just doesn't have the "juice" anymore to play that position.
When Sutton comes back, Stink says put him in the big slot position. Many are saying he has become a TE at this point anyway, and A OK is in a permanent doghouse so he is of no help.
Besides, Tim Patrick was supposed to play that big slot role this year before he got hurt, so why not Sutton? My question is who plays opposite of Jeudy? Is it Hinton or Virgil?
