  • Put Jeudy at the X, and Sutton at the big slot.

Stink was given an assignment yesterday by Mike Evans to watch the all-22 and focus on Jeudy, and try to determine why he had such a good game. He said because of the injury to Sutton, Jeudy was forced into Sutton's x position, so he would be the focus of the offense. Jeudy has apparently been at the slot most of the time previously.

Anyway, it was a success as he seemed to be interested and in-the-zone for most of the game. There is no doubt that he is the most talented receiver we have on the team, but it just doesn't show every game. Is Jeudy just one of those guys that has to be the focus of every game, or he pouts and doesn't give it his all? IDK, but this guy has the tools, so the coaching staff has to get him the ball, as Sutton just doesn't have the "juice" anymore to play that position.

When Sutton comes back, Stink says put him in the big slot position. Many are saying he has become a TE at this point anyway, and A OK is in a permanent doghouse so he is of no help.

Besides, Tim Patrick was supposed to play that big slot role this year before he got hurt, so why not Sutton? My question is who plays opposite of Jeudy? Is it Hinton or Virgil?

It doesn't matter. We could put you at big slot and win as many games.

Let’s try it! Hell, I’d piss on a spark plug if I thought it would work.

Rep to the 1st that gets the reference.

I'm in favor of shutting Sutton down for the rest of the season. Clearly, there is something wrong with him. There's nothing to play for. I'd rest him and see if he returns to his previous form next offseason. Jeudy and Virgil outside, explosive receivers, let Hinton play in the slot and give Brandon Johnson more opportunities instead of trying to force a broken Sutton.

Yep, and he resisted at first, but got much better production at that point of his career.

                  Right now Broncos Wr room:

                  Jeudy, Washington, Virgil, Johnson.
And the new guy poached off Miami PS Freddie Swain.

Might as will let Albert O play slot.
                  Got no back ups left.

It’s so ridiculous that this coaching staff cannot figure out that Jerry Jeudy should’ve been playing the X position all this time while everybody’s saying he’s a bust and not any good

Would have to trade him after June 1st or eat a shit ton of dead money because of how they already restructured his deal. Many sunken investments by Papa Georgio!

Is this a serious questions? We'd have to give a second just for someone to take him.

Definitely not a baller like the top guys in the league. Dulcich is the only guy we have worth keeping. Dude comes to play. The others look like they came to complain.

Jeudy should be 1st in progressions
he beats any CB off jukes buy not raw speed. That means they catch up. So he is always popping open for a few moments before the CB catches up.

If he's 3rd progression and they zone him, his jukes don't work when it's gang coverage.

A QB that knows this can take advantage.

The only thing Sutton has done in the last two months is yell “My bad” after terrible drops. He’s not the guy he was in 2019 and never will be again. But might still have value around the league.

A good #1 receiver should be able to beat single coverage (press, man, zone). He should be able to at least get open enough that the defense respects him with LB and or Safety help. That changes the game and makes it easier to run and vice versa.
                                      • In order to be a "great" offense, you need two of these players (two receivers, or one receiver + one RB).
                                      • You can be a "good" offense with just one of these.
                                      • You'll be a bad offense with none of these.

Unfortunately, thats where we are right now. Javonte may have been our one guy that kept defenses on their heels and required extra LB/S support. We lost him way too early to see what this offense was capable of.

But Sutton, he's now a solid #2. Defenses don't need to bring any additional help to shut him down.

                                        Sutton is still the same.
how can you guys not see it's about timing and ball placement and because of the QB that all their numbers are bad?

                                        RW3 stinks.

He throws off target from the optimal placement about 80% of the time.
He throws to the wrong guy about 80% of the time.
He waits too long on short routes and he never hits anything wide open over the middle.

Jeudy told him what he was gonna do then after a while he changed the count. Homie came to Wilson rather than Wilson hitting him where it would have been better. That shit was Jeudy being fired up and making the catches off Wilson's stinkers that made Wilson start finally start going.

Jeudy screamed at him to get that shit right.
                                        So did Hamler.
Even Gordon was like WTF are you doing?

How many dudes have to scream at RW3 before y'all see it's because he doesn't even try to hit the best place or time?... He makes dudes adjust to his throws rather than hitting them in stride.

He's still RW3. But like I said... Mentally Declined with the ability to flash back to his old self for periods. But one can't count on for how long.

Our WRs are still very good.
It's the guy throwing them into harms way and making them adjust that sucks.
Our QB can't hit a medium crossing route for shit. Fool has to run around until he finds a lane of vision. And people talking bad about the WRs numbers... 🤦🏽‍♂️

He’s not the same and we were having the same conversations about Sutton’s disappearing act last year so it is not about Russ. Court is noticeably less explosive than he was pre-injury, now more than two years removed. It is what it is. Time to find a true WR1.

You're crazy. This is Sutton's last real contract in the league. JJ isn't a stud. He's just fast. Big difference IMO. Dulcich is the only guy we have that looks to run down field once he has the ball. The rest of the guys are getting tripped up by the turf. Seattle has way better receivers. We have such a horrible culture in the locker room. Might have to burn the place down to get rid of it.

Russ dives head first into the turf. WTF is that about? It's like our team has forgotten how to play basic football.
